Interesting to read articles before the manufactured outrage that was engineered June, 2018. Shockingly "skeptics" fell for it hook, line, and sinker.

The conclusions that one can reach when ignoring a bunch of important information are amazing. For example, one can certainly be supportive about wariness regarding human trafficking, while also being outraged by separating kids from their guardians as part of a malicious political ploy that had little to nothing to do with actually addressing human trafficking.
"Skeptics" think they're brilliant for using fanciful language to dance around threats of violence they don't the courage to fully articulate. You cannot allude to threats of violence, terrorism, and assassination without me warning the proper authorities. The authorities will decide if further action is warranted.
And, on actual inspection in this case, it's fairly certain that those authorities will, at best,

at you, as you've wasted their time. That's not to deter you from reporting actual dangerous threats, of course, but... paying attention to what you're actually reading is usually important.
When someone really isn't paying much attention to what they're reading, they might, for example, respond to "One 'pro-life' Trump official single-handedly prolonged the detention of hundreds of migrant kids" and the further substance there with something like "I went to Mexico with a pregnant girl once. She was denied a free abortion in custody. Are you outraged?"
'DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN TO THE BORDER. IF THEY DO MAKE, THEY'LL GET SENT BACK!'
How could such a cruel man be president? How did he get elected? How do you defend this barbarism? I can't believe POTUS

That you seem to think that you have some kind of point there just further highlights how deluded you are about what, exactly, the outrage is about, where it actually exists. Don't worry, that's a common side effect of trusting in right-wing opinion media and their loud and repeated lies and attempts to mislead their consumers. It could, potentially, be cured by actually paying attention to what the people on the so called "left"
actually say and not acting like you're psychic to handwave away the things that don't fit your expectations. But why would someone like you do that when it might force you to admit that you've been duped?
2! Shock! Amazement! And? Incidentally, you are actually undermining your attempt to claim that all those "parents" were actually child traffickers, significantly, by making a big deal about showing evidence that a very low number of the claimed parents aren't biologically parents... but rather were cuckolded.
You doubted and mocked that victim's story.
It's not "possible." It happens. Frequently.
Perhaps the value and nature of pointing out that
your source is what shed doubt on the veracity of the story is lost on you so badly that you feel that
your source mocked that victim's story?
I get the feeling that you have difficulty understanding that one can firmly support Law and Order while also thoroughly opposing agents of law enforcement breaking and/or subverting the law and the principles that it's meant to uphold, either way, which is what's actually at the root of the current outrage towards ICE.
It is possible to deport some and not the others (most). But go ahead and guess strangers political affiliations then attack them for your made-up labels.
Indeed, you go ahead and use your psychic powers to tell others how they really feel in ways that perfectly match right-wing propaganda and lies and expect not to be treated like you're a right-winger.
Hilarious. Sad, but hilarious.
I think it is that they do not strictly apply, are those protections for minors on the federal level for example. I mean honestly how else would a minor, especially so young end up in federal court?
All immigrants should have counsel, especially minors, but it doesn't seem to have ever been ruled by the courts or put into law. And I am not sure that past presidents didn't do similar things, though separating young minors is certainly new.
