Cont: The Russian Invasion of Ukraine part 9

On a possibly slightly positive note Trump said (I'm paraphrasing) that US aid would continue or else Putin would think he'd won. Then again I don't put a lot of stock in stuff Trump says.

Unless the pee tape is real, Putain has nothing to give him.
Compared to the crimes he has openly committed and got away with, the pee tape would be nothing. Most of his cult would cheer as they watched a tape of him gleefully instructing a couple of prostitutes to pee on the bed Obama and his wife slept in on a visit to Moscow.

Zelensky says talks with Trump so far 'not enough to form plan' for peace

Volodymyr Zelensky says previous discussions with US President Donald Trump so far are "definitely not enough to form a plan" for peace.

"We will never recognise occupied territories as Russian,"
"We want to be in Nato, yes. We trust Nato's security guarantees. I think this is the cheapest option for everyone,"

Compared to the crimes he has openly committed and got away with, the pee tape would be nothing. Most of his cult would cheer as they watched a tape of him gleefully instructing a couple of prostitutes to pee on the bed Obama and his wife slept in on a visit to Moscow.
But what if, as insinuated, they were peeing on him?

Well, the new plan seems to be that as a reward for throwing Ukraine under the bus, Trump wants to take 50% of their natural resources.

What is this I'm hearing about Chernobyl's sarcophagus being hit? What an obnoxious thing to do

Europe will be consulted – but ultimately excluded – from the planned peace talks between Russia, the US and Ukraine, Donald Trump’s special envoy for Ukraine revealed on Saturday.

Asked if Europe would present at the planned talks, Keith Kellogg said he was from “the school of realism, and that is not going to happen”.

“It may be like chalk on the blackboard, it may grate a little bit, but I am telling you something that is really quite honest,” he said.

“And to my European friends, I would say: get into the debate, not by complaining that you might, yes or no, be at the table, but by coming up with concrete proposals, ideas, ramp up [defence] spending.”

Europe can’t rely on the strength of the transatlantic relationship to help contain Russia’s threat – it must lead from the front and be the true force of support that Ukraine needs. Not just for Ukraine’s sake, but for a free and sovereign Europe.
