The Biblical Realities of Hell

The Hindus know no such thing. They may believe in some of the same superstitious nonsense that you do, but that doesn't mean it's some sort of truth.
Do you feel their ridiculous beliefs somehow make yours seem less ridiculous? The Greeks and Romans were looking for gods too, and I hope you recognize that there was no truth in what they found.

There you go again, trying to figure out the mind of god again, and finding that he continues to agree with you.

Well he gave them knowledge of the soul.
Placing a bet doesn't guarantee a win.
I found their method of meditating actually works, and it’s scary….if you are like me or like how I was, like you, then try their method and that will put you and your mind in a different perspective about belief.
It’ll be a major humbling for you.
Start with your soul.
Find out, have fun with it.

How about batteries? The Earth is a gaint battery and magnetic field, tap into that and we have all the free electric we need, one of the shuttle missions proved that.

Will you start a thread in the science sub-forum to explain that?

Stop right there. The Christian doctrine of personal revelation and being presented with some reason or evidence that contradicts a previously held belief are two very different things. Assuming an objective reality, any observation can be made by anyone in the vicinity of the phenomenon. This is different than personal revelation, which would best be described as God standing in front of us the whole time although he's had most of us wear blindfolds so we can't see him.

See that's one way thinking.

The hindus know there's a soul, who they call god and by what name is their buisness.
At least they are looking for God and believe in God/Gods.
I have nothing against them and I'll bet that God won't either.

So, they got the soul thing right, but not the god thing, that is nice.

When will you and others like you going to understand that believing in something does not make a thing true. We don't believe that planes fly and then they do, there is physics behind it and it is understood why they fly.

And about the electrical car, the first ones sucked. So where do you think the power would come from to recharge them, belief?

That shows you that you don't know where the real power for that to work comes from. The power comes from the shuttle motion, has the wire cuts thru the magnetic field and power is made it will put a drag the shuttle and it will slow down and sometime later rockets will have to be used to speed it up again. There is no free lunch.

Seems to be par the course of predestination.

So how about the negative aspect of the spiritual, the Ying and Yang?
So what's known believed in, beings on both sides of the line?
If the positive shows it's self what about the negative?
There are two sides to that coin; experience both one or the other and that will change your point of view.
It’s just a matter of time.

Where there's a will there's a way.

I'm not in here 24/7 like most of you, besides you don't need to know about it.
What? You've solved the problem of clean, unlimited energy, and the world doesn't need to know about it?

Wow. It's not authentic frontier gibberish, but, boy, is it authentic gibberish in every other way.

Well he gave them knowledge of the soul.
1. There's no such thing as a soul.

2. Why should anyone trust a god who doesn't give everyone the same type of knowledge? Why does he give Hindus only part of the story, and then send them to hell for not figuring out the rest?

Okay. I'll start with my soul. Where can I find one? Is it hiding with the demons, thetans, and chakras?

Where there's a will there's a way.
What does that have to do with it, you still don't get power without losing it from the shuttle.

So, where outside of belief, is your hell?

Elizabeth I Johnson is right.

Adultery was narrowly defined as having relations with another man's wife (i.e. property). There was no commandment against men having multiple wives and concubiness. They could rape their slaves at will without fear they were committing adultery.

Exactly. Adultery was a crime against property. A double crime: not only was the adulterer tampering with another man's duly bought and paid for wife, but he was imperiling another man's inheritance: putting him at risk of leaving his estate to the adulterer's child.

The problem is you think it's totally blind.

Faith says, "I believe what I believe no matter what facts anyone shows me. It doesn't matter what's true or not true, what matters is what I believe." This is a dangerous way to live your life, both for yourself and for others on whom you may have influence.
This is why faith is blind, it bears no relation to truth, or even the desire for truth.

Regardless of how certainly one may think that hell is fiction, the simple, ultimate and undeniable truth is that we cannot absolutely know what is beyond death until we ourselves are beyond death. Certainty either way is belief, it is faith, not knowledge.
It is a fallacy to think that just because two options exist, they must be given equal weight. There is a chance that the sun won't shine tomorrow, but this option does not enjoy equal standing with the chance that it will.
It always amuses me when people denigrate "faith," like it is a bad thing of blind belief based upon nothing, as if that is a good thing.
Faith is based on something, it is based on traditional superstition, fantasy, wishful thinking, respect for the claims of authority figures, altered brain states, all kinds of things. It is blind because not only is evidence not involved, it is spurned as unneccessary.
Wow... whoa. You mean that to leftists like you, oil is a right-wing religious issue? I hadn't gone that far in my considerations of the issue... but I can see how that could fit in understanding the motivations of the anti-right.

What do you say the Chinese believe about this?

Correct. Edge says yes, you say no, and I say all of us will get there later and will know with absolute and inarguable certainty only then, regardless of anyone's absolute faithful insistence.

But you don't seem liberated, free or at peace in any of this to me, but only resolutely angry and unhappy toward religion/God/Christianity.
This last is a favorite claim for theists, but I have yet to meet my first angry atheist, and there is certainly no evidence of anger towards religion on this thread.

I would also like to point out, yet again, that I don't believe it is possible to be angry at an entity that you don't believe exists.
