Syria and UN Security Council Decision

Here is a video by some unembedded Turkish journalists reporting from the border region in Syria mid-2011. It has English subtitles which unfortunately stop halfway through when they go to Damascus at the moment, but maybe they'll complete it, it was uploaded just a few days ago. It shows the same thing local Syrian media reported as quoted by me earlier - terrorist gangs taking over peaceful protests against the regime in a village in the border region to Turkey and literally butchering the residents who are not willing to join their killing spree:

This is what i've called "Al-Qaeda types" earlier - a completely dehumanized force high on a perverted interpretation of Islam and full of Drugs. I personally think that the infamous MK-Ultra mind control experiments stopped for the single reason that they reached the goal of their research and that this is the result, a zombie army fulfilling the goals of Western Imperialism, from Afghanistan in the late 70s all the way through the Balkans and 9/11 until today.

This is the hate preacher the local residents in the above video accuse of ordering the terrorists to cut their loved ones into pieces, Adnan Al-Arur:

If the "goal of Western imperialism" is to provide me with a comfortable retirement, then mission accomplished. And thanks, western imperialist guys.

Don't freak out, I'm not rich. Far from it. Just comfortable. And I didn't even have to lose an arm or a leg. And the VA fixed my shooting eye. I have 20-20 vision in that now.

Jeez. Some people would be suspicious of a little speckled pup, I suppose.

Back the UN and its role in Syria, which seems to have been the original idea behind this thread:

Is Red Cross trying to act in UN's stead?

Has the pup been drinking drug spiked instant coffee from MK-ULTRA?

Do we really want to get into posting journalist/politician/writer/etc photo-ops with suspected/alleged/convicted terrorists, CE?

Could easily open that can of worms.

Are you saying that the Syrian rebellion is a Western conspiracy?

Didn't you say you left your CT days behind? Because this sounds like one of the most blatantly paranoid and out there CTs I've heard in a while.

These particular journalists? By being bombed and losing colleagues.

How did this enable them ascertain that the Syrian regime was shelling and shooting civilians?

Personalized, CT smearing is a nice distraction there, uke2se. Do you honestly have no knowledge of the CIA's previous interventions in foreign countries?

By using their eyes and talking to people.

It's not CT smearing to call a conspiracy theory a conspiracy theory.

Do you honestly have no knowledge of the CIA's previous interventions in foreign countries?

I probably know more about it than you.

It's comforting to see that I was right in my asessment about who supports the Syrian regime: CT loons and extreme right wingers.

So now the CIA is shelling Homs? :boggled:

The source of the photo is his own article, as announced in my link. Abdel Belhaj.

"Nice" try.
So what? You're using it as some sort of distraction (which you still haven't answered; another one on the pile of unanswered drivel you've shoveled into this thread) from his reporting.

Again, there's plenty of photos with journalists/reporters/politicans/activists/etc with terrorists. So what of it?

I'd be surprised, where would they set up their guns. Must be a real shortage of space around Homs, with everyone down to the New Zealand junior sea scouts shelling the city.

Of course not the Syrian Army, they'd never be involved in such terrible things

"An Iranian drone flying around looking for targets" ... he sees from his safe room, must have been the flag. Obviously a deeply dishonest story teller with an agenda. While the fog is lifting, Thierry Meyssan gives his account of the situation and the negotiations. Seems like all agree that this "press center" was hit by army rockets so I will accept that as reasonably proven.

[...] On Tuesday morning I was awakened by a friend, a war reporter for a major French media outlet, who called to inform me of the arrival of Paul Conroy and, probably, other journalists in Beirut. I was shocked. In turn, I woke up a senior Syrian official, who shared my perplexity. From phone call to call, nobody in Damascus knew anything, or would not speak.

Ultimately, I discovered that an agreement had been worked out between General Assef Shawkat and a highly placed French personality, whom he knew as a friend, to find a political solution to the imbroglio. Loyalist forces opened their lines to allow the French military advisers and journalists to cross into Lebanon overnight. At daybreak, the Free "Syrian" Army discovered they were gone. Realizing that they had been left on their own, the mercenaries decided to give themselves up, leaving their arsenal behind, while the Islamists refused the heed the final warnings. General Assef Shawkat gave the final assault and took the Emirate within hours, delivering the trapped civilians from the tyranny of the Islamists. [...]

Childlike, do you think M. Conroy is lying?

"the alleged escape of Western journalists" you think those journalists didn't escape Syria?

We all know how thorough and professional Meyssan with in his investigation skills. Didn't he write a book about how a "missile" hit the Pentagon on 9/11? And you still give validity to his words?

How should he be able to identify an "iranian drone" from his safe room after being injured? How should he be able to claim that the "Free Syrian Army" is there for "delivering bread" to the poor civilians while he came there with the same Islamist fighters he was already buddy buddy with in Libya? Of course he's making that up, Pardalis. Give me a break. That's basic plausibility analysis.

And don't worry, i'm taking Meyssan with a grain of salt as well.

I don't think socialism has anything to do with it. As I said earlier, in Sweden at least, the only people who still support or take the word of the Syrian regime are CT loons and extreme right wingers (read neo-Nazis).

These aren't your garden variety social-democrats, these are hard-core socialists, the Stalinist kind.

They will support anyone and anything, as long as it's in opposition against the West (even though they live in the West themselves, and enjoy every freedom therein)

Just imagine if these any of these fantasists actually had to endure life under the tyrants they worship.

Well like in any corrupt regime, I'm sure if you do what you're told and help their propaganda like that Meyssan creep is doing, you can live quite well and gain some wealth.

The problems start when you start to disagree.

They are insurgent at the very least. I am not very happy to see Al Qaeda trying to worm they way in and take advantage of the situation but they are not part of them.

They are not part of them? Of course they are. The article about Belhaj was full of sources including the official US and British lists of terrorist organizations. Brutal cut-throats. You've seen the videos. Stop pretending. It's not my fault that it doesn't fit the propaganda line.
