Once again...racism! Stop the thread!
Who gives a crap? Why do you?
I give a crap. You can't discuss and debate a subject with someone being disrespectful and disparaging to a group involved.

Maybe you can't. *I* can manage just fine.
You don't as you are essentially talking to an unwilling debate partner.
If you are unwilling, that is your fault, not mine.
Bless your heart, Bob.I give a crap. You can't discuss and debate a subject with someone being disrespectful and disparaging to a group involved.

Norker = North Korean. It's cute and to the point.
Funny how Jap is racist when it's simply short for Japanese. WWII ended people.
Ya I know I know, but I think this BS that we play with offensive words is tiresome in such instances.
Gawdamn people you're driving me insane!Stop being offended for other people - or something.
There was a thread a day or two ago where someone called Upchurch (a member here) "Uppie". Someone else complained for Upchurch, even though Upchurch himself is okay with the nick name. SJW to the rescue!
Just stop this hyper sensitivity stuff, it doesn't belong in a discussion about - whatever this thread was about. I honestly had to look up to see.

Whoa, dude! Calm down.
Seriously. I'm not giving anyone a hard time, but I'd rather like to know the connotations so I know whether or not it's appropriate to use it in other contexts. FFS, "Brit" is socially acceptable, but "Jap" and "Chink" aren't. Yes, I know they're short for country names, I get that... but they still have derisive connotations, and generally are considered rude. I'm not familiar with "norker", and I'd prefer to know.
Maybe turn down your own sensitivity a wee bit?
That was me, and for years that has been a positive/affectionate occasional nic I've offered in our on again / off again discussions of a load of different stuff. There was a thread a day or two ago where someone called Upchurch (a member here) "Uppie". THis thread is about the usual noise and bluster that attends things on the Korean Peninsula. The war of words has been going on for quite some time, and it appears to me that Mr Trump is showing how new he is at this game, though IMO he ought to recognize it for what it is: trolling. It's one of his things, to troll people, but at the moment it seems to me that he does not appreciate how he's being trolled.Just stop this hyper sensitivity stuff, it doesn't belong in a discussion about - whatever this thread was about.
