.....and gives itself the right to shoot down any US aeroplanes it feels are a threat, whether in Korean airspace or not.

BBC

North Korea's foreign minister has accused US President Donald Trump of declaring war on his country and said Pyongyang had the right to shoot down US bombers.
Ri Yong-ho said this could apply even if the warplanes were not in North Korea's airspace.

His statement came two days after US warplanes flew close to North Korea's coast in a show of force.

Pentagon spokesman Col Robert Manning reacted by saying: "If North Korea does not stop their provocative actions, you know, we will make sure that we provide options to the president to deal with North Korea."
Um... speaking of provocative actions...

North Korea has a very low bar for what it considers a 'declaration of war'. They make this statement quite often. The military drills, any sanction, putting Kim on a list, turning on the loudspeakers - all count.

From here it's like 2 extremely pissed dudes having an argument in a pub, while the rest of the pub watches on in a mix of humour and slight pity

Yes, but here in California being "the rest of the pub" means that we are between the two dudes and they have broken beer bottles in their hands and grenades in their pockets.

I'll be so happy to die a horrible death because two crazy people are more concerned about slights to their own egos then about the safety and lives of the many millions of people in their countries. All in a good cause.

Anyone who buys Norker propaganda deserves whatever is coming to them. PT Barnum had an adage for you fools.

As much as I despise Trump and would be glad to see him gone this equivalency between him and Kim and his cronies is stupid.

I know, one is a spoilt man baby famed for spouting ludicrous bombastic demagoguery clutching nukes in his tiny little hands. The other is the president of Best Korea.

So because 20 years before I was born we contributed to a war that the UN asked us too help with, at 0.2% that the US did, we can't call out the US now for the actions of their President and apparently their continually obsession with Regime Change with any country they are at odds with? Perhaps if we had a history of charging into countries and overthrowing their Governments you might have a point, but between NZ and the US, only one of us has that track record.

Yeah, really. I mean, I get that the "fly by" itself was likely in response to other provocative actions by N. Korea, but it's like these people have no idea what a positive feedback loop is.

Aside from the pathetic moral relativism that drips from your posts, this is also a stunning bit of historical ignorance. Regime change is not US policy in regards to North Korea. And it hasn't been at any point since the Korea War armistice.

Will you all please remember to remain civil and polite, and to address arguments rather than attacking the arguers.

Perhaps you need to explain that to your country's leader, Donald "they won't be around much longer!" Trump.....
