I usually make a pan gravy, so I can't deep fry. But I should try it
Do you thicken your gravies with corn starch? I find it creates a better appearance, that sort of shimmering, slimy look.
I know that some folks use flour to thicken a gravy, but I can't tolerate wheat products, or Christians (to stay on topic).
I have known a few tasty pagans, but they did not celebrate religious holidays based on imaginary deities.
