Of course, her business might simply be under an embargo. Or in peer review. Perhaps her business just needs to dot the i's and cross the t's. Whatever is going on it is sure to be due to men in black, the logging industry, skeptics, Siense, or Tontar.
Actually gigantor - you did not find a new monkey. factually , it was a group of primate researchers, unless you were part of that group?RRS, we just found an unidentified monkey last week.
No. You are mistaken, and trying to pass judgement. Bigfoot does not exist. That is a very accurate statement. Feel free to prove otherwise. There is no animal "bigfoot". It's up to you to support the claim there is. The books already support my claim that there isn't. It's not there in taxonomy. It "doesnt exist".
As I said, you or one of your bigfoot buddies feel free to prove otherwise. I'm calling you out. If you want to claim it exists, support that claim. You can say "i don't know" and that is fine too. If you want to prove my statement wrong, I'm open to anything you present proving it. As far as "science" is concerned, bigfoot does not exist.
Well after all, since she was involved in the ID of victims from 9/11, ( if you don't believe me, just ask her - she publically stated that - at least on 2 seperate occasions, once on the radio) so since she has done that - she probably figured she was wasting her talents doing this piddly bigFoot stuff.Someone is quoting a Facebook post by her(?) which purportedly says she is moving to a larger town, giving up the service business to concentrate on forensics and research projects.
If this is actually a statement by Ketchum, it seems quite vague. There seems to be no effort on her website to maintain continuity. Nor is she paying much attention to the state of Texas. I wonder if this means she's contemplating taking a job in someone else's business. But as what? This is a puzzle.
I'm gonna take a really wild-a**-guess that she shows up in California.

and to be correct, the primate was well known to the local populace, having been kept as pets, and eaten on occasion. The discovery was actually a researcher recognizing that it was different than other closely related species, then going out and finding the proof. And it took a matter of days!
I beg to differ here Riiver. And i doubt if you are speaking for all science. If you ask me, as far as "Science" is concerned, it is currently awaiting and willing to examine any credible data or evidence that an unknown primate exists in North America. And in fact it has been waiting for 200 years or more, since Daniel Boone reported killing one!
. But so far, no credible data has been presented, in spite of the most expensive, most expansive, longest running, highest amount of effort search for a new species in history! So given that huge search, and continued lack of evidence, and continued hoax attempts by those who swear the thing exists, the trend line is clear!
Science can never prove the nonexistance of Bigfoot. But given the lack of data, after so much time and effort, over so many years, it can move on with the presumption that no such animal exists, and put the burden of proof onto those true believers!
I think it may be to early to tell for sure. I have reached out to a couple of true believers who insisted they were in regular contact with Melba. So far they have not responded. i suspect that they may have a better feel for the circumstances, but maybe not. I assume however that their take will be "the scientific community was so threatened by this bombshell, they had to make sure she failed".
The thing that struck me as odd, and was consistent among the people i communicated with, who had donated samples:
None of them had any idea what genes were tested? what part of the DNA they looked at, how those data were suposedly analyzed. All they knew was "well first mitochondrial DNA - but that didnt work, because it showed human, so she did nuclear DNA". but thats all - a glittering generality!
, on top of being slapped in the face with a wet tuna - mitochondrial showed "100 % Human" so instead of accepting that, obviously the DNA had to be wrong!
So I originally thought Melba was a true believer, but I am now swinging toward the scam "I wanna be on TV" mode.
Bat **** crazy would be my 3rd guess!
