I can only speak for myself but I like to think he is apologizing to me for causing me to sell all my worldly goods and investing only in sackcloth and ashes.

Hey, now -- I gave you a *deal* on them ashes.

... August 17 was revealed by the same Holy Spirit. Why did I believe that His prophecies of a world war starting from the trouble in the Philippines occurring on a Wednesday and the cancellation of the 2012 Olympic Games? Because I have proven that August 17 is true and correct in my studies from 1999 to 2003. ...

You do see the flaw in all this explanation, don't you, PC?
Apart from that it wasn't the holy spirit who told you this, along with the name of the 'Egyptian' princess and her parents?

I would like to apologize to all of you. I am deeply sorry. I will refrain from discussing prophecies anymore and be tight-lipped on this. I will reconsider my belief that the Holy Spirit who we are talking to is the true Holy Spirit and so is my belief that Ka Apaz’ physical body is appropriated by this spirit. As I used to say, if we were to believe in a god, we have to be sure that He is the only true God. As God, He must be omniscient. That means, He knows the past, the present, and the future.

Great job, good for you to man up. I approve.

Gee. I just noticed this thread was started on my birthday.

The Opening Ceremonies won't just me my favorite part of the Olympics, it will be a belated birthday present.

Yes, Lukraak Sisser, August 17 was revealed by the same Holy Spirit.

So now do you agree that you were wrong ?

Oh and well done to Peace Crusader for his apology - though I won't hold my breath as to whether any long term lessons have been learnt.

PS If anyone gets the number reference without resorting to Google then I'll be very impressed at their excellent taste in music!

PC:
In order to reconsider your beliefs a little more thoroughly, I would request that first you read this poem by Shel Silverstein, and then go over your transcripts of you speaking to the person you thought was channeling the Holy Spirit with this poem in mind.

THE BAGPIPE WHO DIDN'T SAY NO
It was nine o'clock at midnight at a quarter after three
When a turtle met a bagpipe on the shoreside by the sea,
And the turtle said, "My dearie,
May I sit with you? I'm weary."
And the bagpipe didn't say no.

Said the turtle to the bagpipe, "I have walked this lonely shore,
I have talked to waves and pebbles--but I've never loved before.
Will you marry me today, dear?
Is it 'No' you're going to say dear?"
But the bagpipe didn't say no.

Said the turtle to his darling, "Please excuse me if I stare,
But you have the plaidest skin, dear,
And you have the strangest hair.
If I begged you pretty please, love,
Could I give you just one squeeze, love?"
And the bagpipe didn't say no.

Said the turtle to the bagpipe, "Ah, you love me. Then confess!
Let me whisper in your dainty ear and hold you to my chest."
And he cuddled her and teased her
And so lovingly he squeezed her.
And the bagpipe said, "Aaooga."

Said the turtle to the bagpipe, "Did you honk or bray or neigh?
For 'Aaooga' when your kissed is such a heartless thing to say.
Is it that I have offended?
Is it that our love is ended?"
And the bagpipe didn't say no.

Said the turtle to the bagpipe, "Shall i leave you, darling wife?
Shall i waddle off to Woedom? Shall i crawl out of your life?
Shall I move, depart and go, dear--
Oh, I beg you tell me 'No' dear!"
But the bagpipe didn't say no.

So the turtle crept off crying and he ne'er came back no more,
And he left the bagpipe lying on that smooth and sandy shore.
And some night when tide is low there,
Just walk up and say, "Hello, there,"
And politely ask the bagpipe if this story's really so.
I assure you, darling children, the bagpipe won't say "No."

Does anyone here really still believe the Olympics will be going ahead (ignoring the football games that have already been played o' course)?

I'm not surprised - that one was easy. I was referring to 01011001 in the title of my second post.

I think you should read post #2489, which contains that admission and an apology. And I think we should all recognise PC's integrity in admitting he was wrong.

And, of course, we needed a King Crimson reference.

Peace Crusader,
Good for you. I stand corrected, I did not believe you would be honest enough to say that you were wrong. Kudos to you.

Please take this as a first step in realising how easily you can deceive yourself, to the point of being absolutely sure. A good start might be to look at your own calculations and conclusions as if they were someone else's. Imagine that you think they might be wrong, and how you would find out whether they are.

Wednesday, 2012-07-25, has now passed the US. It is Thursday, 07-26, across the US: 7:15am in New York City, 4:15am in Los Angeles, and 1:15am in Honolulu.

The prophecies of the Holy Spirit that the world war which will start from the trouble in the Philippines will occur on a Wednesday and that the 2012 Olympic Games in London will not be held, failed to materialize. Even though the Games will officially open tomorrow, 07-27, I cannot move the goal posts anymore because 07-25 is the last Wednesday for the month of July.

I retract my statement about you having no honour. This admission took courage.
