Trump's Second Term

Trump: "I had the greatest year, the greatest opening year. I ended 8 wars. The greatest economy ever. But even when you have a great president, they tend to lose the midterms. It doesn't make sense to me. We've had the greatest year in the history of the presidency, first year. We should be given credit."

Oh, I thought he'd be up to 12 by now.

Let's she's tipped at 10% and she delivers $30 of goods (both averages) per trip. That equates to 13,000 deliveries per year (welll 13,333 but I'm rounding). That means 35 journeys per day, if she works every day in the year.

That'd be punishing for a twenty year old.
Trump said his no-tax-on-tips saved her $11,000.

She has gone on record as saying that's not true. She says her total earnings on tips came to $11,000. She says she saved $3000 by not having to pay tax on that $11,000.

With assumptions as in the quotation above, that equates to about 3650 deliveries per year: 14 deliveries per day if she works five days a week. Roughly two per hour. Not implausible.

Very implausible if you have a partner with cancer at home who needs care
Devils advocate here...it depends on the circumstances (type of cancer, stage of the disease, treatment given).

I had cancer. Caught early. Surgery and radiation. Other than having to live on purreed Kraft dinner and baloney for a few months I was fine. was even able to work during radiation treatments.

It would be different if it were late stage pancreatic cancer with heavy chemotherapy used.

It is plausible that she was making that many deliveries.

What i would question is what her actual income was before the "no tax in tips" came into effect. If she is really saving that much in taxes, then it is possible that she had a (relatively) high income to start with. In other words, not the struggling service worker we thought this policy was supposed to help.

(Either that or she is lying about exactly how much she is saving)

Mike Johnson says the Pope had it coming: "A religious leader can say anything they want, but obviously if you wade into political waters, you should expect some political response and I think the Pope has received some of that. Frankly I was taken a bit aback by him saying something about 'those who engage in war, Jesus doesn't hear their prayers' or something. There's something called the 'just war' doctrine.'"

It might also depend on whether the employer is allocating tips. This may or may not be the case for Doordash, but if tips collected are below a certain percentage, the employee might be taxed on a higher estimate. I agree that the "no tax on tips" rule is likely going to be a handy excuse for employers to keep stiffing their employees, but the current system is geared in some degree toward the assumption that tipped employees are cheating. The whole setup stinks.

Exactly. My partner had cancer, but the effects were even less than on you. Two lots of surgery, plus radiotherapy, but little disruption apart from a few days preparing for and recovering from each of those. (Thyroid cancer, caught early.) Cancer isn't one disease.

Exactly which "satanic, demonic, child sacrificing monsters" have been exposed? Can we get some specific names please?
Is this a reference to the children being sacrificed to Epstein's social circle?

EDIT: It kind of reminds me of an episode of "Criminal Minds" in which the FBI was investigating what appeared to be a "ritual murder" (it wasn't).
Local Sheriff: "You must see this sort of thing all the time ... Satanic killings?"
FBI Agent: "Not really, no."
