Merged Trump shot in PA??

This is exactly the type of dehumanization that leads the "impressionable" to consider killing someone as an option. Free speech is one thing but consider this, if that shooter read comments on this forum at any point prior to committing his illegal act. Everything you say here now and everything you've said before will be placed under a microscope.

Ask yourself, throughout History can you think of anyone or any group of individuals that dehumanized certain people as part of their party rhetoric? I can.

Trump and some of his supporters.

Has Trump been in contact with the family of the person who was killed? What has he said about that person?

Genuine question, I don’t have the inclination to listen to minutes of his ramblings !

Not sure whether he's contacted the family, but he has said the usual stuff about the guy who was killed. I saw it in the interview he did after the assassination attempt.

I would dig it up, but it's just the usual boilerplate "condolensces to the family", "in my prayers", yadda, yadda.

The Fat Orange Turd

Marjorie "Jewish Space Lasers" Taylor-Green

Lauren "Feel them puppies" Boebert

Matt "I **** under-aged girls" Gaetz

.. and pretty much every MAGAtard politician in the House, Senate and every state legislature in the country.

Enough?

If you don't think referring to Latinos as "rapists and killers", and using the term "****-hole countries" to refer to under-privileged nations, is dehumanizing, then you have no idea what the word even means.

But of course, being the MAGA supporter that you are, you will excuse any and all behaviour by your Fat Orange Holy God-King no matter how reprehensible!

I thought it was the Progressives who were going to start murdering people in cold blood?

This wasn't a step toward civil war, it was a leopard mauling the zookeeper.

Are Trump supporters seriously going to call people out for name-calling? He has done more than any U.S. politician I can think of to normalize this type of "rhetoric."

Name-calling is a step toward dehumanizing "the enemy." Actually, "the enemy" is already an example. It's important in carrying out a genocide - but it's also necessary in plain old warfare. By turning groups of people into abstractions, it makes it possible to kill them with a clear, or at least clearer, conscience.

When Trump came out with his lines about "Mexicans ... they're rapists, they're murderers," my heart sank. Because I knew a lot of white Americans would eat it up. And they did.

It goes beyond "name calling". There have been open calls for Trump to be "eliminated" by Democrat politicians (Dan Goldman). There have been open calls from President Biden saying "Trump is a threat to Democracy" and recently "It's time to put Trump in the bullseye." He described Trump as "a genuine threat to this Nation". It goes much further but those are simply a few off the top of my head.

Now some Democrat staffer of Bennie Thompson has been quoted as saying the shooter "should get some shooting lessons so he didn't miss next time."
And I recall reading similar statements on this very forum. Vile, violent rhetoric that promotes political violence again, as intended.

The violent rhetoric of the Left has clearly led the "impressionable" to seek assassination of President Trump. As was intended IMO. These have been open calls to invite assassination and lately remorse that the attempt failed.

Certainly Trump has called for an end to the illegal immigrant invasion of our Country. And he has certainly called Biden "the worst President in US history" but never has he called for either to be "put in the bullseye" or be "eliminated". There's a difference between political rhetoric and violent political rhetoric. It's time to learn the difference.

I realize that some outside the US may have opinions based on their political beliefs, I also realize some of those same people may despise the US for whatever reason they choose or have personal agendas they wish to further. I'm not interested in the views of those people. I'm interested in US Democrats and their supporters either toning down the violent rhetoric and assassination attempts or risk awakening the monster. This is the US, we are better than this type of behavior, if one decides they are not better than this type of behavior, then those individuals do not deserve the privilege of citizenship.

So can I.

Trump:

1. "If I had prisons that were teeming with MS-13 and all sorts of people that they have got to take care of for the next 50 years, right, young people, they're in jail for years and — if you call them people. I don't know if you call them people. In some cases, they're not people, in my opinion."

2. "We will root out the communists, Marxists, fascists, and the radical left thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country, that lie and steal and cheat on elections, and will do anything possible, they will do anything, whether legally or illegally, to destroy America and to destroy the American dream."

3. "[Immigration] "a very sad thing for our country; it's poisoning the blood of our country."

4. "‘Dana, I have an idea: Why don’t you set up a migrant league of fighters and have your regular league of fighters. And then you have the champion of your league — these are the greatest fighters in the world — fight the champion of the migrants. I think the migrants’ guy might win, that’s how tough they are."

What you have failed to point out is any part that Trump called for these people to be "eliminated" or "put in a bullseye". I understand it may be too much to ask. I believe some cannot see thru the thick veil of hatred they currently have for Trump and his supporters. Violent rhetoric has become the normal talking point for many. I would ask those folks to do better.

What a steaming pile of trumpsplaining magat horse ****.

Your anger in your post is obvious. I would prefer detailed talking points that explain your anger rather than the display.

And your childish attempt at a response is noted.
It doesn't take all the much to respond to a credulous acceptance of magat talking points defending a felonious, fraudulent, rapist. Pointing this out is hardly childish.

Yes, so you say, and you usually go on to imply that at some point Progressives are going to metamorphose into frothing at the mouth fanatics that go on bloody rampages. That hasn't happened so far, and it hasn't happened here - it was a brownshirt taking a shot at Hilter. So where in your fantasies of civil war 2: electric boogaloo, do they both fit?

i’ve seen nothing but a sort of perverse hope to suggest the shooter was radicalized by the left. in fact, what little we do know about him, which is very little, suggests the opposite

What has been pointed out time and again is Trump's constant dehumanization of his enemies. Also his suggesting 2nd amendment solution to a Hillary Clinton presidency.

I'm sure you'll do some trumpsplaining magat apologetics.

I addressed your original post and now I'll address your edit. As myself and others have demonstrated, Trump's violent and dehumanizined rhetoric is his brand, and from day one. From suggesting a 2nd amendment solution, to his near constant stochastic terrorism, gaslighters like yourself are full of ****.

I don't know if your credulity leaks over from your fringe beliefs, or you're just plain trolling now, but yeah, your bull **** wears thin. Like in one your posts where you claim you like to follow Christ's teachings, but support a candidate that's never once turned the other cheek, nor has ever treated anyone the way he likes to be treated. He's a ******* rapist who publicly stated he'd like to **** his daugher.

Yeah, you're full of it.
