I think Americans may think differently, but from here he is starting to look like the embarrassing drunk uncle at family parties people put up with but make excuses to avoid

(of course, there's first Scalia's vacancy to fill)
 
Trump whined that the moderators didn't bring up Clinton's email situation....a few minutes after they brought up Clinton's email situation.....

Accused rapists shouldn't have public defenders, obviously. Or defenders of any kind, really. Not sure if this policy will work out for Trump in the long run, though - he may not have thought this through all the way.

One of the pundits compared it to Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych who threw Yulia Timoshenko in jail first thing he was in office.

Apparently, she later clarified that she was going to say "unless her husband and family need her", which raises the obvious question of why she didn't just say that, if it's the truth.
On the other hand, I can see Trump blowing up at an employee who dared to suggest that their family was more important than him.

Presumably that was her job?

If so, how is that even an issue? In the court adversarial system, if you're the defence attorney you have to defend the accused to the best of your ability even if you think he's a guilty scumbag. That's how the system is designed to work.

It is only an issue for right wingers who don't believe in the constitution.
