Any system has to not only be fair, it has to be seen to be fair, for the vast majority of the voting population.

When you start relying on electronic recordings, you are going to involve software and that is not transparent. And is subject to far more subtle subversion.

Choosing our rulers is too important to be at risk from such things.

i’ll link this again, statistically it’s mostly randos and very few of the criminals they did detain are violet criminals. and imo an uncounted amount of racially profiled citizens detained and released

I'm not sure any number of deportations of peaceful non citizens makes up for illegal deportations of citizens

8 deaths by ICE agents or in ICE custody (at least a couple in custody where the official account doesn't agree with other witnesses) and 1 by an off duty ICE agent.

Obviously not much because he was released without charge. AFTER 3 DAYS without access to an attorney.


This was 6 months ago, so maybe, there's a good reason why people are protesting about governmental overreach.

ICE is to be commended. During the Obama presidency, 56 people died in ICE custody. Back then, immigration enforcement was bipartisan. No riots. ICE today has to deal with loonies dangerously interfering with law enforcement in their inexplicable quest to protect foreign rapists and murderers. Well done, ICE!

And although deaths in ICE custody are always bad, how many of those occurring in the 8 years of Obama's presidency were public murders in the street?

That was probably true in the past; I don't know that it has remained so. The GOP has changed substantially in the last few years. It has become more of a blue-collar party, while college-educated voters have shifted to the Democrats. Harris actually crushed Trump, 55%-42% among that demographic. Unfortunately, Trump won among those with a high school education or less 56%-42%, and since there are more of the latter than of the former, won the White House.

You gotta be crapping me, Pyle. Obama's ICE didn't have to deal with states refusing to honor ICE detainers. Lefties had not yet gone batship crazy in defense of foreign rapists and murders that they interfered with law enforcement.
