That's something I always wanted to do when I was active in Shipping... poll the operators as to how their lift wound up in that position. From what I've seen anecdotally, the lift operators are like the prisoners in Shawshank. (Not a one of them did it - they're all innocent.)
 
Hello, long time lurker in the CT area, here. Sort of an old school YouTube debater tired of the antics and 500 characters limit among other things. I can't help it, it's like the burning light of a train wreck and I am some mothman drawn to the carnage.

The jref really holds a lot of sway IMO. From the many posts detailing solid expertise and incredible communication skills to the cold humour of a well seasoned forum, I hope to both learn, teach, and fit in and be misunderstood.

I wish I could offer an elaborate story of how I overturned some forklifts but I can't. My reasoning went like this :

My name is Sean. Hmmm can't use that, I'll probably have to choose another name, ah! I'll use fork, no, too simple...hmm what's the strangest image I can muster...forklift...what is stranger...an upside down forklift.

Sounds perfectly reasonable to me.

Makes sense, but it just happens that there are (or at least have been) a couple of actual fork lift operators on the forum.

I went through a similar process.

I was a fork operator, of a sorts.... I was a branch manager in a tiny hole of an office and the previous guy had taken a small warehouse space which was rarely used. So when any cargo came through the place I wound up being the fork operator. Never turned one over, though.
 
While I'm not a new member I did take a prolonged vacation from the forum. Been working far too much, but I finally finished writing my first novel. Now the editing and re-writes begin, but that involves waiting around for notes and emails.

(That was an attempt to infuse some Colombo into the post, 'though it probably went over the heads of some of these young 'uns.)

Good luck on the novel. Do you have a publisher or are you doing the modern day equivalent of pounding the pavement and knocking on doors?

Got a publisher. I had a short story that appeared in a magazine and they asked if it could be expanded into a novel.

I'm a magician/mentalist or since this is ultimately Randi's forum I'm a conjurer :P. Big fan of Randi's conjuring career and now his talks on fake physics. I have a big interest in paranormal and abnormal claims however I am a big skeptic but I like to think I'm open minded...
