UK General Election

There is still one outstanding result. I know it is a recount, but I can't find which constituency it is in. Does anyone know?
 
What I don't understand is people saying this is a refutation of brexit ? How so? Corbyn is a brexiteer and will implement hard brexit himself

I suppose the bright side of any potential coalition is that the last time that happened it resulted in the virtual destruction of that party. Maybe the spotlight of being in government would spell the end for the DUP.

Kensington count to start again this evening

We've just got one result left to come, and that's from Kensington in west London. It postponed the third recount, having already had two.

The council website has now said the count will start at 18:00 BST.

The returning officer for the constituency said earlier this morning:

The provisional result of the election was known at approximately 2am. That result was very close and a recount was therefore requested. The result on that recount also remained very close.

A request for a third count was therefore made. At this stage staff had been up all night and were becoming visibly tired. In order to have confidence in its accuracy, the recount has been suspended to allow staff to rest and recuperate.

Also what is convention with the Queens accepting the formation of a government? What happens if Corbs and May want to meet with her and request to form a government?

Well the new heart of socialism is Sloan Sq. How on earth the Tories managed to lose Kensington & Chelsea is beyond me
 
Wow! Her speech about how she has now formed a government to work towards Brexit "with certainty". She's using some language to make it sound like she's got a hardcore government as though she hasn't just been handed a drubbing, then "Now let's get to work!"

It was rubbish. I'd imagine it's fairly much the one she would have given if she'd got a 100+ majority

Who could that be - without a Government in place her "royal prerogative" reverts back to her instead of being invoked by the PM and cabinet on her behalf.

We have a convention that the party with a majority will be the Government and the PM will be whoever that group wants it to be. Usually it ain't an issue but.....
 
Whoever you supported can we all agree this country is a complete *********** laughing stock of a shambles?
