Indeed. There's more to say along those lines, but that is pretty succinct for the general matter. For this situation, though, even if their claims were true, there's more. Trump's desire to make war with Venezuela in some fashion isn't some new thing, whether it's to seize resources like oil or under the premise that a military "win" would bolster his horrendously bad poll numbers. There's no good reason to go along with the farce that drugs are anything more than an empty pretext here, especially given Trump's personal history of aiding and abetting the use of illegal drugs and supporting drug dealers.

Indeed. If they were generally honest, there would be cause to give them the benefit of the doubt. When they've been caught lying shamelessly over and over as they try to get away with criminal and lawless behavior, including with virtually identical claims, they've already squandered all benefit of the doubt. Trust requires hard work to build and is easy to destroy.

If he acted on his own authority he admitted to having committed a war crime. It is fortunate for him that the U.S. does not acknowledge the ICC, and does not prosecute war crimes at all.

In any case, I believe that even if he is somehow culpable according to U.S. law, he has been promised a full pardon for taking the blame from Hegseth.

Ummm, no they don't.

Manufacturers have pretty much abandoned the "small car" market in the US (such as sedans), in favor of SUVs, pickup trucks, and similar monstrosities.

Some might point to a declining demand/market share for the smaller vehicles, but I think it has more to do with the fact that larger vehicles have bigger profit margins for the manufacturers.
