The Oldest Religious Structures & Ancient Aliens?

I know all about Lovecraft no telling where he got his motivation.
He was an atheist novelist writing about an uncaring universe and demi-gods that were largely unaware of human needs or wants.

I don't play games and do not waste my time with them because there is a whole world out there of mysteries, which IMO is way more interesting.

Too bad you picked up on these frauds instead of the real mysteries.

There are lots of real world mysteries - for more interesting than the faked stuff and need I say it...real

So my little bright ones, anyone translate these yet?
Because these were in the shaft… and have been there since its, (the pyramids), beginnings.

Luca Miatello, an independent researcher who specializes on ancient Egyptian mathematics, believes he has some answers.

"The markings are hieratic numerical signs. They read from right to left, meaning 100, 20, 1. The builders simply recorded the total length of the shaft: 121 cubits," Miatello told Discovery News.

The royal cubit, the ancient Egyptian unit of measurement used in the construction of the pyramid, was between 52.3 and 52.5 cm (20.6 to 20.64 inches) in length, and was subdivided into seven palms of four digits (four fingers) each, making it a 28-part measure.

According to Miatello, who has written about the pyramid's numerical patterns in the journal Ankh, and also more recently in PalArch's Journal of Archaeology of Egypt/Egyptology, multiples of 7, 9 and 11 cubits occur frequently in the design of the Great Pyramid.

Sorry, that answer may not be mysterious enough for you. :)

That was kind of what I was getting at, but I couldn't agree more. Who needs ancient aliens when you have the Sphinx after all.

I have always felt that there was a certain prejudiced (even racist) undertone to all this Aliens built the Pyramids, Nazca Lines, Easter Island statues and stuff. After all, how can these "primitive" people build all that without outside help.

I have the same attitude about God(s).

If you go by the strict definition of 'alien' than God(s) is/are 'alien'.

Plus his messengers are also alien to us.
Another interesting site, Petra.

The site remained unknown to the Western world until 1812, when it was introduced by Swiss explorer Johann Ludwig Burckhardt. It was described as "a rose-red city half as old as time" in a Newdigate Prize-winning poem by John William Burgon. UNESCO has described it as "one of the most precious cultural properties of man's cultural heritage." Petra was chosen by the BBC as one of "the 40 places you have to see before you die".

Probably that only Aliens could have built it.

Hi Wildy,

I am open to the possibility. Two questions must be answered to accdept that theory, though.

Why is it beyond the means of humans to build?

What evidence is there that aliens actually built it?

I do not think that simply saying it seems too much for humans to build is sufficient. It would take detailed reasons to be convincing.

It is a fascinating site.

You need to take your sarcasm detector in for servicing. It's broked.

Thanks Marduk, word origin is always interesting. Far more interesting than ancient aliens, lost civilizations, gods, ancient astronauts or the like.
