This is endemic among the right-wing anti-choice advocates. What bothers me more than the "pro-life" stance here is the casual assumption that women have no agency in the matter.

jd vance threatens nato if europe regulates elon musks social media platform
It's not unheard of. The creator of Telegram (I think) just got arrested. It was claimed he was aware of his platform being used to commit crimes. If Musk is knowingly allowing his platform to break the law, then he can be arrested. Which would be hilarious to me.
An "EU Official" cannot arrest anyone. A representative of sovereign government might be so empowered.
Article is unreadable because of all the uncloseable sludge plastered over it.
...
Tucker: "So those polls are fake?"
Vance: "Oh, absolutely, they're FAKE."
...
Trump’s running mate then suggested that US support for NATO should be used as a cudgel to get the Europeans in line.
“...European countries should theoretically share American values, especially about some very basic things like free speech.”
The owner of Telegram, Pavel Durov, is a French citizen and was arrested by the French police for drug trafficking and the distribution of child sexual abuse images. Allowing Trump back on X is not illegal. Vance's claim is ridiculous.
It's the difference between intelligence and wisdom.
I have to agree with acbytesla. Vance isn't IQ stupid, but he's an extreme right, conservative religious ideologue which makes him a special kind of stupid and dangerous.

My only point was that France's charges claim that he was associated with the crimes you mentioned because he knew they were happening on his platform and due to that he was criminally liable.
If Musk is breaking EU law with his platform, knowingly, then he could be arrested. It's not unheard of. I wasn't claiming anything more or less.
We are not in disagreement. What I questioned was what charge could be brought simply for letting Trump post on X which was Vance's claim? Is it an EU crime for an American political candidate to continually lie which is what Trump does on X?
trump was banned for inciting violence, not lying.
I might have been confused to start. I thought it was about harassment on X, I didn't know it was Trump related. So much **** happening I think I might be losing my mind.
Yes, he was banned by Twitter, pre- Musk, not the EU. The EU can't control who posts on X.

As I've said many times, a person can be both high IQ and stupid at the same time. They are not mutually exclusive.
But he did not show this until he got into politics.
I am not defending the guy who I think is a major league Alpha Hotel, and totally unfit to take over as POTUS, but he comes off to me just like the other guy on the ticket: an opportunist who probably knows most of what he says is crap.
I hope he got a good price for his soul when he sold it.JD said to Tucker that the polls showing Kamala Harris leading are fake and are only released to help Democrats right and steal the election by "manipulating" voters
Tucker: "So those polls are fake?"
Vance: "Oh, absolutely, they're FAKE."

LOL. [emoji23]I just realized that when Vance called Trump "America's Hitler," it was intended as a compliment.
