While we wait... a colleague yesterday composed a reply to a FMOTL "in the style of".
Signed his name with a colon; said "he was of the family of" etc - then put our Department details in all lower case with added punctuation. He was looking around for a stamp and was going to get a defence solicitor (who is a notary public) to witness it...
This particular colleague is just ballsy enough to actually send it so we shall see...

Answer: If you were acting Lawfully you wouldn't need that information.
Question: I am the Law, and I am acting Legally. What is your Legal Name.
Answer: Can you point out where I am legally obliged to have a name?

That sounds like a fantastic way to get arrested, if for no other reason than clearly being mental.

So here is this guy, Douglas Shatford. I am helping some folks deal with him and his arguments which he has submitted to court concerning our right to as he put it 'opt out' of the statutory obligations, without regard to the fact that we 'opted in'. I will post his documents for us to chew upon. Further we may seek intervenor status in court. not sure yet. However read this:

Our firm represents the Federal Prosecution Services as local agents under the Controlled Drug and Substances Act, the Excise Act, the Fisheries Act, and other Federal Statutes.

Our firm also represents the Amherst Police Department.

For those charged with criminal offences under the Criminal Code we represent clients at bail hearings, preliminary hearings, trials and appeals.

So....

1- He makes loads of money enforcing these federal statutes, but he is only acting as Agent, thus avoids responsibility. If you are caught growing pot, he seeks to see you punished. He gets paid for that, and handsomely too. He does not want that golden goose to fly away I am sure. He is the one who has the right to govern you.

2 - The people who enforce those statutes, are the police, whom he also represents. So if they break the law, well, he is barred from charging them, right? He is the town prosecutor, and the legal agent for the police. Can you say conflict of interest?

3 - If someone actually does harm, say breaks into a home, rapes and murders a child, well this guy will be there to fight to see the criminal avoids liability and justice!

He is making money by imposing unlawfully upon the peaceful, AND by seeking to help those who do deserve punishment avoid it!

Look at his doughy, soft, face with the humourless eyes. Wait till you read the argument he is bringing forth claiming that the continuation of the administration of justice demands that the rule of law be abandoned and equality ignored.

I found that same problem and got through it with help from friends. However, that was only a stop gap measure. I did not fid my abundance source until after I accepted that the Universe wanted me to work for myself and It, not some other guy motivated by greed who was not paying me my worth.

I was forced to be free, and to pursue my own dreams, aspirations and goals. The problem was for the longest time I had the mindset that I was not allowed to do such a thing until I had saved up enough money from laboring for someone else's hope and dreams.

I have to eat, so I have to work, and I did not trust my self or my dreams or abilities, so figured I had to work for others.

Once I realized abundance was a function of me following my dreams and not ignoring mine while working for someone else, the Universe immediately responded and started flowing proper.
Have fun with it regardless, it is just a ride.

If this is what someone genuine sounds like, what, in the fotl'ers world would a fake sound like?

People seem to think every person out to rip you off is in a snidley whiplash outfit holding a sack with a $ sign on it.

Back during my first year of University, I witnessed a guy get arrested on an outstanding warrant. The conversation was more like:

Cop: Are you John Doe?

Guy: No, I'm Joe Blow.

>Cop returns<

Cop: We think you are John Doe. >Slaps the cuffs on, drags him out.<

Well, yes, that's what lawyers do: represent people. I think Canadian lawyers are bound by the equivalent of the English "cab rank" rule, and are bound to represent any non-frivolous case (it certainly seems to be a specific part of their oath in Ontario). Of course, they wouldn't be able to represent a particular client if it actually did give rise to a conflict of interest. In point 3 ("If someone actually does harm, say breaks into a home, rapes and murders a child, well this guy will be there to fight to see the criminal avoids liability and justice!") he seems to be implying that anyone accused of a crime does not deserve to be represented. I think we may be back to A. P. Herbert again: "It is a principle of English law that a person who appears in a police court has done something undesirable..." (from R v. Haddock, already cited in this thread).

From the second post there:

I have just had a Swedish police officer walk up to me in a bar and ask for identification.
The only things I had were two packs of Queens and a visa card.
(I did offer to go back to my hotel and find other papers.)

The case in question were the firing off of app. 10 emergency rockets of which I have no knowledge. Some drunks must have been responsible.
