Im not sure it would without training.
Are there studies of when it shows up in primates? I figure we're somewhere below bees but still cooperative enough to live in social groups.

I believe that if you will look at the research you will learn that a seat of conscience has been found in the brain, somewhere in the frontal lobes. If that area of the brain is severly injured or destroyed, the individual in question will lose his/her conscience.
For the one-thousandth time, how do you tell the difference between the "God stuff" and the "added by people stuff" in the Bible?
Note to Edge: "the stuff I don't like was added by people, all the other stuff is from God," is not an objective or appropriate criterion.

Accept God/Jesus first then you will be able to tell.
If you say evolution, that is God too.

Yeah, but they sure seem to be born with an innate sense of fairness, because they will let you know in no time flat (even at a very young age) that whatever you're doing is NOT FAIR! This sense of fairness will be engaged at just about any sort of point where people are treated differently, whether it is division of treats, differing bedtimes, or unequal punishment.
You know, that's an argument that annoys me quite a lot ever since I became a father. Could someone explain why, despite that God-given morality, children still need to be taught that stealing is wrong, that sharing is good, that hitting people is a big no-no, that pulling the cat's tail is mean, that lying is dubious at the best of time and that a Sky Daddy willed us all into existence? It's almost as if they were born not with what humans call "morality", but with an array of instinctive behaviors aimed at strengthening their place in their group hierarchy...
The problem, as has been repeatedly pointed out, is that hundreds of people throughout history have "accepted God/Jesus" and ended up believing different parts of the Bible were "God's words" and different parts were "man-made additions".
So the question is: what makes your interpretation the Good one?

Again edge, morality in no way has started with any so-called god, watch any animal social group and one will find morals within it.Since morality starts with God
When one has a magic being, one can make it anything one wants it to be, "Cut and Paste has Needed".

You idea of a god needs it all the time. 30,000 different christian church factions proves it and I'm not talking about the buildings.I didn't know cut and paste needed anything?
I'm glad you're thinking about this, because it's so obviously untrue. Not everybody who accepts Jesus accepts that the pope is infallible, but to (some of) the Catholics who accept him, he is. All kinds of people accept Jesus and have different interpretations of the bible, whether they take the whole thing literally or say that some stories are more figurative or allegories. Some say that god has made sure his translations are inerrant, and others accept there's been some human error in transmission. Still others accept the exact same verses as the word of god, yet interpret their meanings completely differently.I'll say it one more time for the 100th time.

If you don't see what I wrote I will make it bigger for you.
You don't just get to assert things. There's no evidence of a god, and there's no evidence that any of these things come from him/her/it. But if you want to start listing things off, why do you never say, "If you have a tapeworm, that came from God." "If you have cancer, that came from God." "If you get killed in a tsunami, that came from God."You worked right around my question.
Before it was in your brain where did it come from?
If you say evolution, that is God too.
It's good that you have emotion too, because that is from God as well.
I'll walk the dog and think about that, be back in a few minutes.

Have you thought about it yet? Because I know a lot of Christians who have accepted Jesus into their hearts and they say you're dead wrong.
Tell them to come and talk to me.
I'm not worried about them.
Neither is Jesus.
He's worried about you.
We all have the same basis.

For instance, how does your god feel about homosexuality? Is it a complete abomination which should lead to a public execution, or should they be allowed to marry each other in Christian churches? "Christian" teachings run the gamut from one extreme to the other, with every interpretation in-between. "Love the sinner, hate the sin." "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." "He created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve."
Face it, edge. The bible can be used to justify anything from institutionalized slavery to complete pacifism. If you want to use the bible to back up whatever belief you have, you'll be able to find some verses to support it.

I'll tell you what. If god is so upset with me for not believing he gave me morals and emotions, he's free to take them away at any time. That's not gonna happen, because he's completely imaginary.
Everything in the universe is based on reward and punishment.
Think about that for a moment.
Everything in the universe is based on reward and punishment.
Think about that for a moment.
Then everything from the beginning is about morals from a creator.

Again get your head out of the O.T. that was one peoples interpretations of God.
You guys have to make up your minds do you want verses or not?
The way of the world is we will all die or be killed, that's nature and we live in this new nature/creation, which is nature and nature of the universe.
**** happens even to believers.
