Telekinesiologist now at JREF!

The $1 million challenge was definitly tempting, but I have made up my mind that I will only use this ability for mostly educational purposes and mabye the odd golfball in the face.
Ding! Ding! Ding! Phony alarm rings loud and clear.

Couldn't you donate the $1 million to a charity? You don't have to answer. We've heard it hundreds of times from all kinds of fakes.

No more to see here, this thread is done.

I kind of figured most of it on my own but the internet played it's role too.
One way I differentiated between a gust of wind and telekinesis was to switch directions of whatever object it was, multiple times.
The reason why I'm in school is to study a form of physics so I can prove at later time that most of the theory's are false lol. The only way you can prove something wrong is if you have the right credentials. You will get $1 million for doing what you say you can do. And yet, you want to use it for "mostly educational purposes"?

Sorry, but that doesn't ring true to me. May I ask where you live (area, not address)? We can most likely find someone local who can test you (even without taking a formal JREF test).

I'll assume you mean "doubt" here. Doesn't it occur to you that coming into a skeptics forum, and declaring that any doubt will make results impossible, is just a little self-serving? Even if we were to try and replicate your results, and failed, you could just wave away our failure as being because we doubted ourselves, and not as a result of your techniques being flawed.

The reason why I said "doubt" is because it's the truth. You can't do it if you don't believe it. I also don't think everyone on this forum is a skeptic.
I mean, I developed this ability only 2 months ago. I have a hard time explaining it to myself. I'm not going to wave away your failure. My advice is just a suggestion! That's what works for me and if it doesn't work for you then you should try a different technique. Where all different. And above all, I don't even know if everyone has the ability. I seriously didn't figure that out yet.

If people could avoid ridiculing and dismissing this person, it would be an opportunity to engage him/her with facts and skepticism when he's at an impressionable age and not yet completely over to the dark side.

What do you believe your success rate is TK?

1. I don't even know where it's located and I know it definitly isn't in toronto.

2. I go to SCHOOL. So I really don't want to miss it.

3. If it requires taking a plane to get there, I am unemployed.

When I joined this forum, I didn't do it to prove myself, I did it to give advice. I can count on one hand how many GOOD telekinesis sites there are.

Telekinesiologist -

Several people have commented on how you could use the $1,000,000 dollars; further your education, donate to charity, educate others, etc. Are none of these reasons good enough for you to demonstrate your ability?

It wouldn't even take one hand.

For $1 million dollars, you don't want to miss school?

The challenge isn't a place, being in Toronto, I'm pretty sure JREF can arrange people in your area to come to you.

1. I don't even know where it's located and I know it definitly isn't in toronto.

Which is why CFlarsen asked where you lived. There may be someone local to you who can test you for the preliminary test.

Weekends? The Summer?

3. If it requires taking a plane to get there, I am unemployed.

Sounds like you could use some money. Think $1,000,000 would help you out?

If I had the ability to win $1,000,000 I'd be taking the week off from classes, borrowing money for a flight and filling out my application.

Of course, if I didn't have any real abilities, I'd make up sorry excuses about why I couldn't apply...

Thanks latent.

Personally or The World.

Personally:

I've tried that spinning paper on a needle thingy and I can see why you posed this question. The only way I know if I'm sucessful is if I can make it change directions simultaniously, or knock it off the pin. Might I add, this is being done from a considerable distance.

Success rate:

under stress: 7/10 (not as strong and controlable)
competely dead tired(after a few seconds): 10/10

The world:

I have absolutly no idea. Some of my friends can do it and some can't. And I know there are many more around the world. All I know is that for some reason more people are able to do it today than ever before.

If this person really believed they could prove that they could do TK, they would have inquired what the $1M challenge was about instead of just dismissing it with the usual weak excuses. It is a very strong warning sign that this person is not ever going to show anyone anything.

It can be done in your home, if you like. It won't take more than a couple of hours, tops.

There, all your objections are null and void. In what area do you live?

This is a forum for skepticism and critical thinking. When you join and start claiming you have paranormal powers, you have to accept that people challenge you on that claim.

You mean what you claim you can do is balance a piece of paper on top of a pin and make the piece of paper rotate around the pin?

What holds the pin upright? Does the pin go through the paper or does the paper just rest on top of the pin?

Thanks latent.

I'm not here to prove myself to anyone. You just dont get it. This is a hobby. I'm not trying to become criss angel man! If you guys want it taped and put on youtube or something thats fine. The only problem is that I have a very hecktick lifestyle and the only reason why I even have time to talk on this forum is because I'm getting time off from school.

OK, you don't want to prove yourself to anyone. Gotcha.

Do you mind showing it to skeptics in your vicinity?

TK,
Have you done any sort of controls to make sure you're not fooling yourself? Perhaps moving a piece of paper that's enclosed in a sealed glass box (like an aquarium) to discount the effects of imperceptibly small air currents?

The paper just rests on the pin. You can put the pin through an eraser or some clay to hold it up. If you wan't to try this, don't put your hands close to the paper. The body heat coming from your hands can sometimes interfere or make you apear to be doing telekinesis. I sugest, having your hands a few feet away from it and ensure that there are no gusts of wind coming from anywhere including you.

If you are a beginner, do not put a cup over it to block wind. This will, for some reason interfere with all telekinesis results by 80% or more. As you get better your energy will be able to penetrate the cup.
