You're confusing the difference between tactics and strategy. Both groups can be correct that 9/11 was part of a strategy to initiate long term foreign policy objectives by a self inflicted wound. They might disagree on what tactics were used to achieve that goal.

Also I take indignation at the idea that just because I do not believe in magic explosives that can destroy a 110-story building without leaving any seismic imprint, auditory signature, or physical traces while at the same time capable of being set up within hours and being immune to massive kinetic impacts and fires hot enough to warp steel, that somehow means I believe everything that "The Government (tm)" says about anything.

Plus I've never heard AE911 talk "strategy" at all.
