Could be seen that way. The Down Syndrome Character was independent, intelligent and beautiful. So again, where is the insult???????
Now you are the one making jokes.

The only problem people in this thread have with S.P. is that she has the bad taste to carry her Down Syndrome son around with her and that she calls out comics for using her family for their punch lines?
Which member of the family that is not Sarah Palin is the reference in the punch line?
Now you are the one making jokes.
Again, I ask, where is the insult? There's a clear difference between "make fun" and "insult". The joke is a reference to Sarah Palin. I do not see any insult. Why the hell is she so insulted? What? She can't be mentioned as a reference?????
Apparently, you didn't see the episode..or you disagree that a person with down syndrome could be intelligent, independent and beautiful.
If the cartoon character on "Family Guy" that AFF was doing the voice over for is yours or JFrankA's notion of beauty then your bar for beauty has a bizarre standard. The character was also much more oppressive than intelligent.

By remaining silent, she can take a joke, but if she responds she can't? So she could take the joke about "The Family Guy" depicting her as a Nazi?
You are being absurd. S.P. would be the target of obsessed libs if she were a liberal? The only problem people in this thread have with S.P. is that she has the bad taste to carry her Down Syndrome son around with her and that she calls out comics for using her family for their punch lines?
You don't care whether people are laughing at you or with you. OK. You do not take obese jokes/insults directed at you personally? OK. You never felt compelled to go on the offensive and offer any quips to your persecutors. OK. Your way of maintaining, or not maintaining, your self-respect, dignity, and honor was to pretend that these jokes were not personal. OK.
And what you learned from this experience is that you refuse to give the benefit of the doubt to S.P. that she feels obliged to answer when her family is caught up in jokes/insults made by media types to get at S.P., and that because S.P. doesn't follow your personal prescription for handling endless "jokes," she is just being a poor sport without any sense of humor.
If you believe this then you must have spent a lot of time looking under your pillow for Tooth Fairy coins.
The "jokes" made about your obesity were not in bad taste? Would the ones in bad taste be considered insults? Would you want Letterman around your children?
Do you really believe that Letterman's true opinions/beliefs are not at the heart of some of his "jokes?' What S.P. said was damn funny. If it gets a laugh, what is the difference?
Where has S.P. ever bothered to negatively respond to anyone saying they "lost respect for her?" Besides, if you ever had a chance to get on TV and rant it would probably be about Southwest Airlines.

considering how most characters are drawn on family guy, she wasn't drawn ugly.Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Chris thought she was beautiful.........
I noticed that you still haven't answered the question:
Where is the insult????????????

Didn’t you know just being referenced on “The Family Guy” is an insult and a joke? The person (or people) referenced might seem to think it constitutes the former while the writers seem to like to think it’s the latter. Myself I tend to just go with “It’s just another insult of a joke reference on the “The Family Guy””.
You also consider the character to be beautiful. You and Chris have similar tastes. Sine you didn't think that fellow classmates disparaging your adiposity was an insult, why would anyone expect you to recognize any remark as an insult.
Here's a little secret, Cicero- no one can insult you unless you decide to be insulted.
Let me guess. You write homilies for Bazooka Joe bubble gum.

The Man recognizes the dynamics of "Family Guy." When will you?

When MacFarlane desires to draw attractive characters, he doesn't seem to have any problem.
So you only think really thin people with big heads are attractive?
