Comey: "There should be no fuzz on this: the Russians interfered in our elections...It's not a close call."

Comey thinks it is very significant that Trump kicked everyone including the AG out of the Oval Office to have the Flynn conversation.

Why is no one asking the tough question: during the private dinner, how many scoops of ice cream did Trump have?

I have a feeling nothing is going to become of this.

Well Republican scum do care more about their trash party more than they do the country so they probably won't do anything. At least so long as they believe that doing something will hurt them more than doing nothing.

Trump is alot of things, some of em bad, but you abject haters are gonna have admit that he isn't guilty of any crimes as of yet.
Technically we don't know if he's guilty of any crimes. He may be, or may not be. That's the point of the investigation.

Some evidence points to an attempt by Trump to stop an investigation, which (even if Trump himself wasn't involved in the Russian election scandal) might still be considered obstruction of justice.
Comey has given his opinion of Trump's awkwardness and his lack of understanding "procedure" and nothing else.
There is a saying: Ignorance of the law is no defense.

Asking to stop an investigation for political reasons might (depending on legal interpretations) be considered obstruction of justice. Even if Trump did so out of ignorance rather than malice, it is still something illegal.

Russia interference with the election is a part of a long term strategy. They will be back, says Comey.

Trump personally called Comey to invite him to the dinner where Trump asked for his loyalty.

Just imagine what would have happened if the Attorney General had met in private with the husband of someone under investigation by the FBI.

Oh, wait...

See, it's not even your current outrage that I mind. It's your complete hypocrisy and ignorance about the kind of stuff that's been going on for a long time.

Look, this is honestly terrifying. I don't know if you believe this or are just playing devil's advocate, but if you sincerely cannot distinguish the two, and I would say you are well above average in terms of intelligence when it comes to Trump defenders, we are seriously **********.

Here are a list of things that make that meeting different:

1) Bill Clinton could not fire Lynch.
2) Lynch admitted that meeting was a problem and yielded to the FBI. She did not make any decisions on the investigation.
3) The contents of the meeting were very innocuous according all participants. There was no point at which Bill asked for a loyalty oath or requested that the investigation into the emails end.
4) Lynch was not fired.
5) Pretty much everyone agreed the meeting was very stupid, but ultimately meaningless given Bill's total lack of power in that setting. Your boss asking you to do something is quite different from your former co-worker's husband asking you to do something. And, again, Bill didn't ask her to do anything. They talked about their families.

Will add more, if necessary.

And, of course, the hypocrisy runs in the opposite direction: If you think the Lynch-Bill meeting was meaningful, this stuff from Trump should set your hair on fire.

Bill Clinton and Loretta Lynch are Democrats and for that reason alone it is much worse than what Trump did.
