Thats strange this is what should have happened to both engines at the pentagon, strangley
enough there is only one engine and both engines are not found on the lawn
how did they end up inside? How did those wings get through that tiny 14 ft
hole without ripping off even if they did manage to fold back? This i just dont understand.

Take a physics course and all will be revealed.

She was. But yet, she is still a "survivor".

Yeah, that is what she claims. And I am a survivor of Hurrican Andrew, because I went there to assist with the rescue efforts.......Same logic.

I am a survivor of The Second World War because I wasn't born at the time.

Anyone who had to breathe in fumes for all that time is a survivor, and my close friends were affected and are dying because of it. I suffered physically because of 9/11, so please step off.

Why didn't you wear your respirator?

I have a friend in the EPA who was working nonstop at ground zero around some of the stuff that made the dust pale by comparison.

Today, he is fine. He wore his respirator, like he was supposed to.

Don't go try to steal other people's suffering because you were an idiot.

Engines are solid and compact items, why would they bounce?

Out of town on a road trip if I recall correctly, the statement the WTC Dust is a survivor of 9/11 is the ultimat disrespect to the victims, people like Kevin Cosgrove, Peter Hansen and his family, who was on the phone with his father from an airphone on flight 175 at impact.....to survivors like Stanley Prainmath,
this was th last straw on to ignore you go.

I can still remember the first, and only time I heard a tape of the final phone call from Kevin Cosgrove. It was absolute horror. It's one of those things that once heard, can never be un-heard. I cannot even begin to imagine what he, and scores of others like him went through that day.

I recently saw an interview with Stanley Prainmath. He's quite a character, calls himself "Stan the Man". He seems to have done OK dealing with the aftermath over these past 9 years despite it all. He's got a great outlook on life.

I wore mine day in and day out. Now, to this day, I am healthy as can be.

Indeed. My friend also points out while he was at GZ that he was often asked by workers about the hazards. They mostly were thinking asbestos, but he would also point out other things like the phosphorus from the FL bulbs & cathode ray tubes on everyone's desk, plus other fun things. As he likes to note the people he was talking to invariable wore their masks around their necks so they could smoke.

Dusty probably did the same thing to puff the weed. :p

Steel wins in a contest of aluminum vs. steel, at the supposed velocity of the plane and the actual thickness of the metals involved.

An aluminum plane might be able to puncture through a paper thin sheet of steel and keep on trucking, but the exterior steel beams of the WTC were much thicker than that.

Exactly how thick were the exterior steel columns you think they were?

According to the blueprints that I've seen, they were 2 inches thick. So why do you insist or think that an aluminum plane, going 500 mph, "couldn't" damage 2" steel?

You're not a metallurgist nor a physics professor, you admitted that you're a biologist & nothing more than that.

Keep on dreaming that you're someone that you're not!

debunky monkey logic

Lead is softer than aluminum and both are softer than steel. Yet, a .50 caliber round will punch through 1 inch of plate steel armor.

Physics troll fails physics

Left something out of your equation--
A armor piercing 50 cal. round will penetrate one inch of plate steel
"...and a 50 caliber round that penetrates a piece of 1 inch plate steel is constructed of ....."
a hardened steel jacket covering a lead slug.

If bird flesh can damage an airplane, I'm not too far out there if I make a claim that a huge steel beam will win in a steel vs. aluminum fight.

Can I see the photo of the whole plane cus it kinda looks like it's not aluminum in that photo.

Yup because this is not part of the planes that did not exist.

Standard copper jacketed .50 cal will punch through steel. The armor piercing rounds increase the amount of steel that it will penetrate and insure that it has more velocity once it's through. When used against lightly armored vehicles the .50 cal should not use armor piercing rounds as they will go in one side and out the other rather than punch through then bouncing around inside.

I am unaware of any ammunition, .50 Cal BMG, or otherwise, that uses a hardened steel jacket. A hardened steel jacket would be so hard to engage into the rifling and push down the bore of the weapon, that the weapon would suffer a pressure spike that would lead to catastrophic failure. If you could build a weapon strong enough to hold the pressure, the hardened steel jacket would destroy the rifling in very short order. The composition of an A.P. round is not a "hardened steel jacket covering a lead slug". In .50 Cal non-sabot rounds, it's generally a copper jacket encasing a hardened steel penetrator

And, you do not need an A.P. round in .50 Cal BMG to penetrate steel. I have fired standard non-armor piercing, copper jacketed, lead core .50 Cal ball rounds through 1" thick T-1 steel plate at 100 yds, and they completely penetrated with enough mass and velocity left to go on and damage a mild steel backstop.

Jacket material must be made of a material that is softer than the barrel it is being fired through. Common examples of jacket material are copper or various mild steel alloys. The only exception would be a sub-caliber sabot round, however, sabot rounds generally have no jacket at all, as it's not necessary, since the projectile itself never touches the rifling/inner surface of the bore.

Aluminium rounds and ALuminium tipped rounds are used by ultra long range target shooters and hunters.
