No excuse for not testing for explosives

Oystein,

Hmm somehow you messed up the link. But I don't care to see the video. This childish truther-mode (flash youtube garbage when pressed for evidence, argument, reference or theories) has never flown and will never fly.

Anyway - you are saying you have no hypothesis, right?
In that case, this discussion is over. Without any hypothesis to verify or falsify, there is no point in proposing any tests.

There is nothing childish about listening to the view of one of the firefighters who was there saving lives on that day. This man's opinion means a lot more than mine.

Just click the link in your last post. (The link works fine. I just tried it.) No need to run away from the testimony of this firefighter.

We really shouldn't be guessing and piecing together bits and parts of what we feel Dommy's hypothesis might be.

I would really love for Dommy to state his hypothesis (one that involves explosives that could be tested for), and then we can discuss it properly.

You know what's more rare the a steel frame building collapsing due to fire?

A cogent hypothesis from a truther on how it could be done with explosives in broad daylight and not draw attention from everyone who saw it happen.

Before you start the game check to see if the goal posts are cemented in the ground is what Grandma used to say.

Operation Northwoods doesn't prove, disprove, or adderss a single thing about explosives in the World Trade Center. dommyboy, you need to stop doing a "greatest hits" list and start addressing your own OP: What evidence do you have for explosives/thermite? The one's you've put forth - thermite, witness similies, etc. - are not succeeding in supporting your claim. And Northwoods is actually irrelevant to it.

You said that I made a few. Care to enlighten me on any other factual mistakes i have made? Im not asking for much. Just give me one.

Factual mistakes are of little consequence when one's thinking is as fundamentally flawed as yours is.

Asking for us to identify factual mistakes is like expecting a prospective buyer to spot scratches in a car that has no engine or wheels.

3bodyproblem
It is complex. The Opperation Northwoods plan was actually pretty complex too (albeit the 9/11 conspiracy theories are even more complex). A lot of progress has been made in the last 50 or so years. I have no doubt that the technical advancements and the increasing control over the media make it possible for the American government to try more bold deceptions.

People like me would speculate less if the investigators had simply followed national fire standards and tested for and ruled out the possibility of explosives or incendiary devices. The odd failure to follow this protocol is bound to spark some curiosity and fuel conspiracy theories. It was such a major (and tragic) event. Why ignore these protocols?

Indeed it is complex. Which is never a good thing for a conspiracy but whatever. You seem to think it's plausible.

You're painting yourself into a corner here so I'll give you a heads up. Nobody in New York heard a controlled demolition. Sure there were reports of explosions, but not massive sequenced controlled demolition style explosions. They're very distinct and very loud. Video analysis lacks the high speed ejecta common to CD.

That's why there was no investigation into explosives. The whole incident lacked the telltale signs of explosives.

You said yourself the purpose of the planes was a cover for a CD. Apparently in your mind it worked. So why, if you believe it worked would you question why it wasn't investigated?

You invent a super complex theory, then JAQ why the simplest things weren't addressed. It happens all the time and each time it falls apart under scutiny. There's a name for it. I'm sure you've heard it.

Oystein,

Oh crap...
He is talking about non-binding recommendations and guidelines.
So they did not cover the entire book.
So what?
They NEVER do!
That is NOT the purpose of that book he is so diligently quoting from!

To motivate any testing, you need to provide a rationale for such tests.
In other words: You must present a hypothesis involving the use of explosives that potentially explains the already known facts, so we can draw predictions from it and design tests. Such tests may or may not involve testing for explosives directly.

What is your hypothesis?

ok. I am proud to be a physician with 11 years of post secondary education and 10 years of clinical experience. nice to meet you.

TAM:)

TAM...I've got this (ahem) "embarrassing" rash...you think you could have a look, and maybe prescribe some ointment or something? :)

Back on topic:

The only thing I'll add is this: Trying to melt a thick steel beam with thermite is like trying to freeze a glass of water by adding ice cubes.

Oh, by the way. That is so very WRONG.
You FAIL again.

Erik Lawyer is a Seattle fire fighter and was not saving lives that day at all.

And he is a lonely loon.

Check out what the fire fighting community thinks of his ideas:
http://www.firehouse.com/forums/showthread.php?t=107457&page=2
(Erik is posting as "koolaid1")
Yea I read that as well. The fire investigator who was there thinks he's a lunatic. Judging from his posts, I agree. He keeps going on about the explosives yet has no clue about how loud it would have to be.

If you continue reading the thread you will find the links back to this site and discussion.

What about the firefighters who don't think 9/11 was an inside job and who predicted that WTC7 was going to collapse from extensive damage and fire? Do you think the same of their opinions?

Sabrina,

"THERMITE IS AN INCENDIARY DEVICE, NOT AN EXPLOSIVE."

So? What's your point? Please show me where I said that thermite was an explosive. I am aware that it is not.

I wonder if you are aware that thermite can be mixed with explosive materials to make explosives that are considerably quieter than RDX or C4.

Maybe if I repost this often enough I'll get an answer.

Dom, please provide a source and citation for the bolded part of your quote above. And don't tell me to look it up myself; YOU made the claim, YOU source it. Either provide the evidence or retract the statement; it's that simple.

As to your ludicrous theories; you are aware that the events of 9/11, if in fact they were a conspiracy by the US government in some way, would have to have over 100,000 people aware of at least part of the conspiracy and willing to keep their mouths shut for nearly TEN YEARS in order for it to work, right? As the saying goes, "three can keep a secret, if two of them are dead." All this time, and not ONE whistleblower has come forward (some have claimed to be such but have provided absolutely no concrete evidence; Sibel Edmonds anyone?) Here, I'll give you a partial list:

1,500 people who worked the flight 93 crash scene
40,000 people who worked the piles at Ground Zero
55 FBI Evidence Response Teams at Fresh Kills in New York
7,000+ FBI Agents
8,000+ people who worked the scene at the Pentagon

To all the posters who keep saying that there needs to be a hypothesis before tests should be conducted for explosives please watch this short video and let this firefighter enlighten you about national fire standards

[qimg]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxGB2YoGV-I[/IMG

I believe him. He was there on that day saving lives. What he says makes sense.

It's Erik Lawyer, a Seattle Firefighter. I've never heard any claim outside your video that he's ever been to NY.

So a fireman proposes explosives. It's not a real hypothesis because he isn't a demolition expert and does no calculation for the quantity and placement of explosives so someone can calculate the resulting sound pressure levels, etc, that can be compared to eyewitness reports, video, seismic data and much much more.

That's how one hypothesis is shown to be better than another.

Nobody that was at WTC on 9/11 says they believe they witnessed man-made demolition. You could prove me wrong by providing a name of someone that does, It isn't Eric Lawyer.

Oystein,

There is nothing childish about listening to the view of one of the firefighters who was there saving lives on that day. This man's opinion means a lot more than mine.

Just click the link in your last post. (The link works fine. I just tried it.) No need to run away from the testimony of this firefighter.

You incompetent liar, he wasn't there that day.

You are a *********** fraud

Incompetent? yesssss!!!
Liar? Not so sure. The geezer who introduces the Erik-Lawyer-video claims he is a NY fireman. The caption under the video however states that Erik is from Seattle.

Dommy, our "proud member od Scholars for woo", quite obviously has not researched the matter in the slightest. That does not necessarily make him a liar, only singularly ignorant.

:dl:

But not to worry, in my digging around in these threads I've noticed a pattern of bannings followed by periods of inactivity (like now) followed by an infusion of fresh woo. There should be new targets in about two weeks, if past history is an indicator.

So I was off about a week; Shoot me.

Again, just to prove my point here.

Dom, either source this claim or retract it.

Dommy can't figure out the quote button, but he's blown the cover off 9/11!
