Greetings,
I certainly understand that people may want to discuss other possible locations, and that they may wish to do some additional vacationing in conjunction with the trip to TAM.
All of your points are valid. I simply wanted to point out that the question that is being asked in the poll is certainly worded to gather responses that favor the opinion of the person that asked it.
Simply put, there appears to be no better place than Las Vegas when it comes to what is best for the event and JREF. I just think that information should be incorporated into any poll that is taken. Otherwise, the question is too one-sided--which I think is evident from the results at this point.
Lastly, the point that you brought up about JREF factoring in the sightseeing desires of the attendees is certainly valid. In fact, the way that you worded your statement certainly looks out for the best interest of the event and JREF (which is what I feel should be the highest priority), and I applaud your efforts.
However, in the original post (when the poll was first presented) the comment was, "I feel I've experienced most of what Las Vegas has to offer, during my non-Tam time." Even though such a view is certainly valid, it does not focus on the overall good for the event. It just saddens me to think that we would put our own personal wants ahead of what is best for the folks that are working so hard to provide such a great event.
Keep the change,
Rick
