July 2007 Stundie Nominations

In order to work in the WTC towers, apparently levitation was a key skill.

Good that you agree that the floors are just hanging between the perimeter and core columns with help of their trusses and do not contribute one jota to the global strength of the tower. They are only there to provide fire division between the floors.

If the floors are only there to provide fire division between the floors, what are the floors there for?

Dave

I'm sorry, but there is indeed a part 4 to Malcolm's nomination.

The saga continues, about whether or not liquid can run out of a polythene bag if there isn't a BIG hole there to let the gravity in. Malcolm mentioned a TV tube in this context, for reasons I'm a bit hazy about. (He obviously means a CRT tube, but we'll let that one go.)

There's gravity inside a TV tube. There is no air in a TV tube.

TV tubes are sealed to prevent air getting in, not to keep gravity out.

Malcolm, I really think you need to stop. Every word you write makes your position worse.

Malcolm's response, I kid you absolutely not, was:

Your first sentence is incorrect.

That's right. He thinks gravity doesn't function in a vacuum!

Rolfe.

Ok. I'm going to make it official.

I hereby put forward my nomination to rename the Stundie to the Kirkman

Malcolm has provided volumes of undeniable evidence that Stundie is virtualy a member of Mensa in comparison between the two.

from stephen -I don't feel safe to make a complant to the police, I've heard stories about the police, and don't think it would make any diffrence, as far as the Local papers and broard sheets go I'm not sure.

I'd like to do a Gandi or Martin Luither, but the reality is that I'm not them and have my own simple problems in life like finding a job that I can do and living from day to day. This is the last thing that I need!

this is a truther who claims he was stopped in the uk by police, searched and questioned under the terrorism act and then warned he was being put on a terrorist database list, oh and they confiscated his leaflets

he was then told to by fellow truthers to complain and came out with the above quote

does this mean he would like to be assassinated?

Oops, I'm hesitant to nominate part 5 of Malcolm's heroic effort this month, because I'm seriously wondering if he's started playing with us now, rather than the other way round. Nobody can be this dense, can he? Except, it is rather in character (like when I remarked that he must want the July Stundie awful bad, he simply quoted my entire long post about giving sets and drip chambers, and replied innocently, "what's a Stundie?")

Anyway, regarding the TV tube development, PixyMisa said:

Malcolm, if you can demonstrate that there is no gravity inside a TV tube, you will have an invention worth hundreds of billions of dollars.

Go for it.

Which produced part 5 of the nomination:

How do you think the electrons get from the tube neck components to the inside face of the screen?

This has to be the pinnacle. Is there any mechanism for really nominating that series of five posts? They're not long, and each one does build on the other.

Rolfe.

:jaw-dropp :jaw-dropp

I don't even know if I could have believed this one if Spitfire didn't link it. "Apart from Allen..." What the hell kind of logic is that?

Who was probably a troll anyway. He had fewer than 20 posts, and most of them were trollish--act like a conspiracist, and then indignantly claim that he wasn't, and that everyone was jumping to conclusions about him, persecuting him, etc.

Seconded, with two reservations. First, Stundie was banned before I joined, and I haven't had a chance to go back and read any of his posts yet, so I reserve the right to vote against the proposal. Second, I feel the award should be called the "Malcolm," rather than the "Kirkman."

It's not up to Malcolm's standards, but Roxdog makes a valiant effort:

The thing is, the past couple of days, Roxdog has been sounding very level-headed in the thread that discusses whether there is an image of an owl on a US dollar bill. He actually found the part of the repeating pattern where he shows the other Truthers that when you look at the whole un-cropped image, it looks nothing like an owl (it doesn't look much like an owl anyway).

But then, you get back into his circle of delusion, 9/11.

The problem with Malcolm is he just hasn't got the arrogance of Stundie. Stundie would drop one of his clangers and type HAHAHAHAHAHA after it.

The actually quote on the bottom of the stundie is taken from a post of his which if memory serves. was

"HAHAHAHAHA I've said it before and I'll illiterate again"

Which is pure 24 carat gold. Malcolm is a lying, deceitful obnoxious, clueless [rule8] but he doesn't have stundie's charm.

Okay, I'm officially convinced. I no longer support renaming the Stundie.

This quote (which HeyLeroy currently has in his sig on SLC) did it:

Wow, that statement alone shows you have no understanding of the physics involved.

Did I ever say I have an understand of the Physics involved Mr Strawpants?...I'll answer this one for you....NO!! hahahahaha!

I take your point, but I actually prefer arguing with Malcolm. I like the slightly more subtle condescention and arrogant crowing more than the blatant "lol" from the juvenalia. I suppose it's Malcolm's blatant lack of net-savvy that makes me still entertain his claim to be in his 50s. It's hard to imagine anyone in his mid-teens managing quite such a good act of cluelessness. He has asked for the meaning of "OP" and "troll" among other things. And he doesn't use juvenile exclamations like lol and !!!111eleventyone111!!! and so on.

I think he's lying about having lived in the US though. How could anyone who's been in the US for any length of time insist that the "first floor" has to be the one above the ground floor? In pictures taken in America, by Americans, and being commented on by Americans?

And while he may not be consciously lying about having "a lorra dosh", I suspect in absolute terms he's in the modest range of middle-class.

Rolfe.

Rolfe, personally I prefer arguing with CTers who listen to reason.

That's none of them, of course.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go and punch a hole in the bottom of my milk bottles so as to allow gravity to work inside them.

Talking about the Korey Rowe Arrest:

Any so-called truther who makes a single dime off this is not a truther, but a complete scumbag and WILL be ostisized from the movement.
