Between this case and Kyle Rittenhouse, it is very confusing when self defence applies in the USA.

Inappropriate, un-self-controlled and surprising reactions that create problems seem to run (jog?) in that family.

I think you should be more worried about what it says for everything you believe in that 11 white jurors, in the Cradle of the Confederacy just convicted three white men of murdering a black man.

And don't forget the Federal hate-crime charges that could add to their woes (and their sentences).
.....

A commentator says there is police bodycam video of the bubbas practically dancing over Arbery's body that could not be admitted at the state trial, but will likely be introduced at the federal trial as evidence of their state of mind. I hope it goes to trial and doesn't get plea-bargained.

I'm not sure that's a bad thing for self defense outside the home. The uncertainty is likely to give self appointed angry white guys with guns a moment of pause before stopping strangers in their neighborhood. One wonders what might have happened if George Zimmerman had encountered Travon Martin today as opposed to in 2012.

In 2021, it applies when the person you end up having to shoot is "white" and it doesn't apply when they're black.

At least not if the case gets too much attention. People don't want their city burned down and their name leaked and a BLM mob to show up at their house.

Even in 2013 when all of this was not nearly so metastasized, the hatred and fury toward the white female juror on the Zimmerman case who came out and spoke in a way that showed sympathy to Zimmerman (she also expressed sympathy toward Trayvon but that didn't matter) was intense.

Cancelling / doxing and personal destruction as well as racially riled up mobs are at a much worse spot now than then.

It seems like something that could come in during sentencing. It's certainly an aggravating factor.

Whats more interesting to me is it seems the former DA is also facing charges for not filing charges:

A grand jury in coastal Glynn County indicted former Brunswick Judicial Circuit District Attorney Jackie Johnson on a felony count of violating her oath of office and hindering a law enforcement officer, a misdemeanor.

While I think its unfair that he wasn't found guilty on the concept of felony murder when so many others are... many who just happen to have a different skin tone than him... I generally disagree with the whole concept. In other words, an injustice here doesn't mitigate an injustice elsewhere.

Roddie was found guilty on three charges of felony murder. He just wasn't found guilty on the felony murder associated with aggravated assault with a shotgun.

Nessie isn't from America. From the outside looking in it's probably extremely confusing.

Does everything need to be explained to you?

Perhaps if you more clearly articulated your meaning on certain things, it would help.

I understand this person is not from the USA. But your response clearly implied that you feel that the difference in self defense justification is confusing, when applied to the two cases:

True words right there.
