Are we expecting any far-right rioting over this verdict? Have there been any threats?

The far right don't generally riot over stuff like this. They reserve their rioting over issues like believing (incorrectly) that elections were stolen, or believing (incorrectly) that left wing politicians are part of a cabal of child eating paedophiles who operate out of the the non-existent basements of DC pizza parlours, or having to share the planet with mud-people, and having them afforded actual human rights.

Also, the far right also don't riot so much as just straight up try to kill people they object to using;

Guns (Dylan Roof, Steven Carrillo, Robert Justus, Patrick Crusius, John Timothy Earnest, Brenton Tarrant and Robert Bowers),

Bombs (Timothy McVeigh, Eric Rudolph)

Vehicles (James Alex Fields, Jr.)

Kidnapping (Adam Fox, Ty Garbin, Barry Croft, Kaleb Franks, Daniel Harris, Joseph Morrison, Pete Musico, Shawn Fix , Eric Molitor, Michael Null, William Null, Paul Bellar, Brian Higgins and Brandon Caserta).

I guess you sort of have to ask yourself if you take one man out of the equation, what changes.

Take Travis out and the whole incident maybe never happens. Take Roddie out and very little (about the incident, him being the source of the video notwithstanding) changes. You could argue either way with Greg, personally leaning toward him being a more active participant than Roddie.

Sure it's a judgement call with shades of grey and all that duly noted, but I think that's sort of the distinction the law was trying to make.

Local cops should hold community outreach events to educate people about this. "If we sweep a lynching under the rug for you, have the decency to delete all evidence"

Speaking of which, I wonder how their community thinks of them now?!

It's going to be Mrs. McMichael in that house all by herself.

Which is why it was a troll question, like asking why the US wasn't worried that the Viet Cong was going to attack using Aircraft Carriers and Nuclear Missiles.

The side that has the power doesn't have to riot and I have no intentions of watching someone go through all the troll steps of pretending they need that explained to them or didn't already know it.

My understanding is that Greg kinda kicked the whole thing off, raising the alarm when he saw their victim running down the street and instructing his murderous son to grab a gun. It strikes me as pure happenstance that he wasn't the shooter in this case. Watching the video, he probably would have opened fire had he been quicker on the draw and had a clear shot when Arbery was trying to save his own life by disarming his assailant.

Yep. I hope she joins them. I wish they could get that other DA as well, but it sounds like his actions will be considered discretion of his office.

Didn't the first guy just recuse himself because he knew McMichael? Seems like that would be standard practice.

I have a suspicion that she's going to move. I imagine they took out loans on the house for the legal fees so she might have limited options.

Well done, jury.

I hadn't realized until a couple days ago that Greg and Roddie were charged with malice murder. That's seems to be stretching it. I think it is fair to find the not guilty on those charges. Not that it matters much.

Roddie was found not guilty on malice murder and not guilty on aggravated assault with a shotgun and therefore not guilty on the associated felony murder charge, but guilty on aggravated assault with a truck and the other charges, including the other felony murder charges. Again, that seems correct.

While I think its unfair that he wasn't found guilty on the concept of felony murder when so many others are... many who just happen to have a different skin tone than him... I generally disagree with the whole concept. In other words, an injustice here doesn't mitigate an injustice elsewhere.

Go Fund Me to tear down the house and literally salt the fields so nothing ever grows again?

The three murdering butterballs will have lots of opportunity to work on their mile times.

If you recuse yourself you have a moral duty to make sure someone else takes up the job.

"I recuse myself because I knew the murderer, it's not my fault that nobody else wanted to worry with it" is not a strong argument.

"Release the video, you said. It'll make us look better, you said."

At least this jury got it right. It helps when you don't have an idiotic biased judge.

Yeah shocking justice is easier to get when the judge isn't making bedroom eyes at the defendant.

Not a huge fan of how he let the defense stack the jury, but beyond that he seemed to have little patience for tomfoolery.

Zany explanation of...something. Thanks.

Turns out that was Arbery's father. A well earned whoop, even if the Judge was correct to keep order in the courtroom.

Inappropriate, un-self-controlled and surprising reactions that create problems seem to run (jog?) in that family.
