Try telling your football teams that.
I don't think they need to be told. But someone should tell the Asian Football Confederation.

Nothing about Palestine's refusal to concede that Israel is a Jewish state as a starting point for negotiations?
It sounds so innocent doesn't it...."Just agree to accepot that Israel is a jewish state" Is that so hard? There was no problems accepting south africa's right to be a white state.....ooops.
why not phrase it as "we demand you accept our right to classify you lot as second class citizens".....then you may realise why there is some resistance

Ignoring this poor analogy, accepting Israel as a Jewish state is akin to accepting the UK as a monarchy. It's accepting reality, as Thunder said.
its not like recognizing this fact will change anything.
Lol.....Does israel want to be a modern democracy? Name a modern democracxy that demands the world accept its right to have different classes of citizens, one favoured and another disadvantaged.
a single example will do.....
calling itself "the Jewish state", is irrelevant to the level of discrimination that exists there.
are you bothered by the "Czech Republic"? does this mean that Germans and Slovaks in this land are second-class citizens?
does the "French Republic" automatically discriminate against folks of non-French descent?
Portuguese Republic bothers you?
Italian Republic keeps you awake at night?
these are all the official names of these countries.
......although, if I move to France, I become a French citizen. if I move to the Czech Republic, I become a Czech citizen. if I move to Italy, I become an Italian citizen.
if a non-Jew moves to Israel, do they become a "Jewish citizen"? no..they do not.
this is indeed......a problem.
i guess this would be like Ireland or Italy proclaiming itself "the Catholic Republic of Ireland", or "the Catholic Republic of Italy".
hmmmm....the only way around this is to rename the country "Judea". all citizens will be known as "Judeans", be they Jewish, Muslim, etc etc.
