My wife has read through some of what you're writing. Frankly, if it were up to me, I'd have blocked you ages ago. Peggy's so mad at what you said about Slingblade, that I'm seriously considering it.

She's referring to the verse which states "The wages of sin is death." And that applies to ALL sin, including driving 56 in a 55 zone. (Strict literalism and all.)

What about Michigan, where you have the "Speed Conservation Act" allowing you to drive 5 over the speed limit on freeways?

You cannot embrace him. You forget that John said anyone who hates his brother cannot love Christ. Considering the vile slime you've dumped on just about anyone who's disagreed with you, in a particularly unloving manner, I'd say you have a hard time even figuring out why you're disliked. You're not hated, and it's not because of what you believe. You're disliked because you run around smearing people with sh**, claiming that Jesus loves them, and you're smearing that sh** on them to show them how much Jesus loves them.

Go to Search, and key in the name "Kittynh." Read what she has to say. That woman is someone I listen to. And, by the way, she's a devout Christian. Unlike you, she's the real deal, and she's not only respected on this board, but loved.

Seconded. Kittynh is a wonderful, loving person who I respect and listen to. That she is a Christian shows that Christians CAN be good, loving, intelligent people without bigoted rhetoric thrown around.

kathy, if you wanted to understand why no one listens to you, and why we listen to and respect kittynh it's simple: She does not preach over and over and shove hateful rhetoric in my face.

In fact, I am not the least bit offended and am rather flattered when kittynh says she prays for me.

I am offended when you say you pray for me though.

The 10% Lawyer Abatement Measure. At a smidgin over the limit lawyers will argue about calibration. At 11% over they'll be stuck with arguing skin-colour - everybody has one, after all.

Seems to me I've been misunderstood. I never said to Slingbalde it was ok to be beaten by her ex. I said it is important to be able to forgive him. Hate the sin but not the sinner! I myself have a 23 year old daughter from my first marriage...and he was abusive. I divorced him too. But it was important to give that hurt to God so I did not stay hurt and tortured by what happened. Our healing begins when we forgive others. This applies to everything in life. Just like the song...think it's about forgivess, even if, even if, you don't love me anymore! Was that Eric Clampton or Don Henley...I can't remember who wrote that one?

I topped out at 120 in a hired car, overtaking on the inside on a two-lane motorway, silly I know but the moment of danger was a smidgin of a moment, I undertook him faster than he was moving. Later that weekend I was belting down an empty three-lane motorway in the wee hours, Joe Satriani blasting out on quad speakers and a gorgeous redhead waiting for me. I am not immune to the attractions of speed.

Just that one weekend. I had a lot of miles to cover, I had the money, I hired this low-cut temptress and slipping into it changed me. Never again.

No points on my licence ever. Driving scares me rigid.
