horrifying attack on Jussie Smollett

What was his motivation for not simply telling the cops that his attackers are white? Is it to avoid being hit with a fake hate crime just in case he gets caught? "Fake crime, yeah, but it's not a hate crime because I never mentioned race."

Another question about his motivation. Why does he tell the cop that the attackers were dressed in all black when the brothers are wearing light pants? It's only been an hour since he saw them. He knows that they aren't wearing all black. Why did he say that when instead he could have said, "they had light pants"?

Why give an intentionally false description when you are anticipating your attackers to have been caught on camera?

I've never seen the show so maybe this wouldn't work, but I think it would be funny if they made him play out this whole fake crime as a story arc.

I agree with the super. This was an act of "pure" selfishness. It wasn't about trying to be a race grifter™. Jussie just wanted a pay check commensurate with his participation on America's most watched television show-probably the best show on network television. I think we can all forgive this tiny minuscule mistake. We're better than this.

Perhaps he offering Jussie a way out? Giving his team an idea of what to expect when they go to the table.
 
Top Cop said that Smollett called the brothers and hour after the attack. Where was Smollett when he called? Oh, he was with Condo Guy.

So was that call private, or did Condo Guy hear the conversation, or what?
 
I'm wondering how the left are planning for forgive him. If he had hoaxed this from the perspective of drawing attention to racism it would have been easy. Hey, it was just a ham fisted attempt to do the right thing, just apologise and move on. But he apparently did it out of personal greed. How are they going to spin that one?

He could have used condo guy's bathroom to clean himself up after the bleach etc. and called them from there.

From what I've seen, most on the left are no longer supporting him.

gotta wonder how the people feel that went to his show the following Saturday in support of him.

He committed a crime for personal gain, same reason many crimes are committed. What's so special about him?

He also caused a lot more potential damage to a lot of people, even society, than someone stealing money from a cash register. He should get the maximum.

I'm not convinced that was his only motive. Why go the race and anti-gay route for a pay raise? Most people would ask for a raise, maybe steal if they had to haha. Not this guy! He played on people's fears. F him.

The witness may not have heard/witnessed the entire thing. I believe they were getting out of a car as it happened. Or the manager lied, of course.
