This - and RandFan's nice summary - is why I think he must remain banned. He has plenty of outlets to express his new-found logic. If he got unbanned for his change in beliefs, it would make a mockery of the very foundational principal of this forum.

Well, if he would apologize in public i see no reason
to deny a: "Hell, yeah" - he deserves a second chance
on probation.

Probation may work. But I still think that he should have to apologize for the things he did to get banned in the first place.

His opinion may have changed, but he might show the same behavior.

I would support giving him a probation period though.

I agree with this as well.

He wasn't banned for his beliefs. He was banned for his behaviour. Then he returned numerous times with numerous sockpuppets and continued the same behaviour over and over and over and over again.

His latest sockpuppet was banned a day or two ago and now he's suddenly posted an epiphany elsewhere on the internet purporting to have done a complete about-face. Sorry, but colour me skeptical.

Personally, I'm not convinced that he's had any such epiphany at all, particularly in light of the very short time between his latest sockpuppet being banned and his newly published about-face. More likely, he's just toying around and hoping to show that JREFers are as gullible as troofers, in that troofers are so eager and willing to simply accept at face value the words that they want to hear, no matter the source.

Perhaps he's hanging out at the "ready room" at the loosewiththetruth forum, cackling over this latest idea - pretending to have seen the light so that they can all have a good laugh about it later.

Even if his alleged epiphany were true, though, I still could not support the call for his reinstatement on the basis of his purported about-face. As RandFan said so well, and so succinctly, above, this board doesn't ban for beliefs, nor should it reverse a legitimate ban on the basis of beliefs.

Just my $0.02, of course.

I think so, too - but personally i couln´t refuse an
apology of him saying he was wrong.
 
It could play out like this:

1. New Truther signs up to JREF
2. New Truther acts the same as Wizard, Pdoh etc
3. People accuse him of being Pdoh
4. New Truther says "I can't be Pdoh because he doesn't believe it anymore"

He could just be using this as a cover for his next sock is what I'm saying.
 
after his first ban here wasnt he over at LC arguing with some CTers about f77? (p'doh held the heretical belief that f77 hit the pentagon)

as wizard here he claimed to have chnaged his tune RE oklahoma city and f93 being shot down

so i think its possible theres something to this "turnaround" but i still dont think he should be unbanned just because of that

Well, he could create another puppet anyway. But i
see no reason to support this rule-violating behavior
if we would accept him as a respected member after
an apologize of him - (which he wasn´t at the time
as truther).

In the MMO role-playing game world, this is what we called "Knifed", simply switching sides cause it seems more fun. But it's a far stretch to treat the conspiracy nutter movement as some "game". Real History is what's at stake here after all.

2nded. His manner here, in all his incarnations, has been reprehensible. Frankly, it looks like a piss-poor attempt to set up a TK to throw the match (in their eyes).

IMO his second chance was after the suspension and before he started putting on socks.

He was banned because he couldn´t wait until
his 3-day suspension was over - so he created
another account and was banned because this
behavior.
