Ehh, irony or whatever, it's pretty much a Republican Party MO. On the one hand, we have Democrats mostly acting with excessive caution and still having ample, well founded cause to investigate or prosecute Republicans left and right - and very often refraining from doing so (which is plenty worthy of complaint). On the other, we have Republicans constantly claiming that all of that is nothing but political persecution and announcing and engaging in lots of nigh baseless investigations that are blatantly motivated by politics and outright CT-based political fishing trips masked as investigations that generally find nothing of note, but are hyped up anyways, while completely ignoring actual wrongdoings along whatever line by Republicans.
 
So, apparently the max sentence if he is convicted is 10 years in U.S. prison. Given that he basically had a life (if not death) sentence in El Salvador he has already scored a victory. Of course, if he is convicted they will try to deport him, but by that time Trump will probably be in prison..
 
This must be one of those heart warming feel good stories about those scumbag immigrants, that certain white guys love to talk about. Warms the cockles.

There is Probable Cause that he is a human trafficker of illegal migrants. Thats a serious crime.

Yes, he may be innocent. But its more likely he's guilty. The DOJ is known for not indicting unless case is very solid.

Garcia will likely seek a plea deal.

What exactly is the problem? Do you think he should've been left to rot because it's politically inconvenient if it turns out that he's a criminal?

There was also PC that Trump is a rapist. But even he deserves his day in court. We have a process for many reasons.
