Derren Brown's screaming stooges

What I want to know is, since when did Jeremy Clarkson become the paragon of fashion?

I had no idea! Now I've really got to start hitting the thrift stores.
 
Have we established whether Silver Birch understands what the term "stage magician" means? I don't think we can take these things for granted.

DB was supposed to be proving that seances are the result of ideomotor rather than communication with the spirit world through a medium. My point is that it was all done with trickery, scripted, with the girl chosen to act the role of a medium, and the glass caused to fall over, which was the cue to have a scream.

I did not say that, it was just an example of a TV celebrity dressing in a relaxed casual manner and not trying to appear to be something he's not. it was precisely because he's not a paragon of fashion.

Wow, I'll bet you'll be really disappointed to find out that almost everything on Top Gear, is set up and scripted and the dastardly and deceiving BBC allow people to be deceived into thinking it's all witty ad lib banter and real road trips.

What sort of snake oil are Clarkson, May and Hammond trying to sell us... Grrrrr!!!!!!!
 
I don't think I've ever seen someone get quite so worked up because they couldn't figure out how a magic trick was done.

That's not even the case. He's worked up because he think he HAS figured out the trick, but Derren lied about how it was done.

Not to put too fine a point on it silver birch, but magicians lying on stage is sort of part of the act.

I'm saying it was not under controlled conditions and was scripted, the cup falling was rigged somehow, and the whole thing is a money spinner for DB and channel 4.

yes, after watching the video one more time, DB claims the ouija board part was ideomotor.
the biggest LOADACRAP is at the begining where the girl he places behind the curtain fakes going into a trance when DB just waves his hand in front of her face. Its not possible to put someone in a trance for the very first time like that.

Since when did magicians do things under controlled conditions? I would imagine Derren had a script and the cup was rigged and your point is...?

That there were stooges involved is your assertion, certainly, but you've not actually provided any evidence that this is the case. Repeating that it's true does not make it true, and it's definitely not a convincing argument.
