What I want to know is, since when did Jeremy Clarkson become the paragon of fashion?
I had no idea! Now I've really got to start hitting the thrift stores.
Oh yes it was. It's a magic show. DB was supposed to fool you. He fooled you. Get over it.nothing in that seance program was supposed to be, was meant to be, was purported to be, a magic trick such as David Copperfield, or even Paul Daniels might perform.
would he be taken seriously if he dressed like worzel gummidge? The glass didnt. Ever heard of invisible thread?
WTF? SO David Copperfield must as well then, after all he flew!
Magic trick.
Seriously? OK,He is into Victorian things and tends to dress as such when performing. What difference does what he wears have to do with anything?
Are you silver birch now moving on from ideomotor effect being responsible as you claimed Derren said.
You think that Jeremy Clarkson is not pretending to be something he's not?I did not say that, it was just an example of a TV celebrity dressing in a relaxed casual manner and not trying to appear to be something he's not. it was precisely because he's not a paragon of fashion.

I don't think I've ever seen someone get quite so worked up because they couldn't figure out how a magic trick was done.
yes, after watching the video one more time, DB claims the ouija board part was ideomotor.I dont take him seriously to start with.
But as you quoted me and left my question unanswered Im assuming you want to forget that you claimed Derren said the glass/goblet fell over due to ideomotor.
Are you now backtracking?
I've already made it on page 1.
watch the video, at 49-40 DB says- ''it was a psychological experiment''
I'm saying it was not under controlled conditions and was scripted, the cup falling was rigged somehow, and the whole thing is a money spinner for DB and channel 4.

My point is that it was all done with trickery, scripted, with the girl chosen to act the role of a medium, and the glass caused to fall over, which was the cue to have a scream.
