It was, for a while (and mostly when people were not howling that criticizing atheists in China was worse than putting a million people in camps).

But reason and consistency from the people taking the time to expose the flaws in the arguments have eroded the objections that it was the result of atheism.

So now the question is: what are we to do about it?
Exciting times.

2. I have expressed my objection to the Vatican/China treaty

Next, I am educating myself on the possible options the West has to object. And while I am just one person, my hope is that with your help (well, not yours I guess) we can sow the winds and reap the whirlpool!

NPR had a good series on this for Morning Edition. The one Chinese lady who married a Kazakh and moved there was forced to have an abortion, her brother sent to a camp, and when they finally let her return to Kazakhstan, she was forced to sign a bunch of papers that she would never tell the press what the Chinese gov't did to her.


Apparently, there are three categories of folks in the camps - those who traveled / moved outside China, Uighur and Kazakh ethnic peoples, and the religious. Presumably political dissidents find themselves there as well.

But, but, but, The Big Dog is working against his Gods wishes. The "Marxist atheists" are doing Gods work, with all that suffering they are causing. Suffering is good, (should be more of it), and is a blessing, (acknowledgement to Mother Teresa), and as The Big Dog pointed out above.:

"10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."

and so on.

Well, I don't know if the Big Dog's blah- blah would fit into the case of hallucinatory processes, elementary logic problems or religious propaganda techniques. All these cases are worthy of study.

Hallucinatory: he says to have read something that has not actually read. He sees the word "atheism" everywhere.
Fail of logic: he don't draw the correct consequences of the text he is quoting.
Propaganda: He repeats again and again the same falsehood, according the Goebbelsian principle that a repeated lie becomes truth.
As I have said: a worthy of study case.

Let me switch it up, some of those 1 million are atheists put there because they were helping religious people: less equal or more appalling?
