No it didn't. Perhaps instead of reading the story, you should read the
actual letter:

The SSA letter indicated that there was a discrepancy. It did NOT indicate that the SSN was bogus. Note one of the listed possible causes:
name change. What do we find on page 2? A
name change. And that isn't the only possible benign cause for receiving such a letter either, as the letter
itself makes clear.
Edit: note also that the letter
specifically states it does not indicate anything about her immigration status, AND that the letter
should not be used to take action against her.
That's just not true. The letter shows nothing of the sort.
