Ancient Pyramids and other structures, astronomical alignment & similarity.

What point is that?

That the Great Pyramid is about 53,000 while the one at Teotihuacan is just under 50,000 sq units, making them 'similar' in size...?

I'm not sure either, but I think it means that given there's heaps of Pyramids in both America and Egypt, finding two of similar size and comparing them is just data mining, sort of.

Anyway, I'm mostly with you, in saying that that mess at Cholula is a piss-poor excuse for a Pyramid.

Aliens
:D
again

Down for the day from Rogue River in their Quetza-blimps.

No, they're only close to lined up, and I think it's just an aesthetic arrangement, with ABSOLUTELY NO RELIGIOUS OR ASTRONOMICAL SIGNIFICANCE, KotA.

:)

The lay of the land determined a lot of the positioning, as well, I think.

Actually lay of the land is the primary thing. There is a fault in the plateau that meant the pyramids had to built exactly where they were or the foundations would not have held.

There was also a little slight of hand when the second pyramid was built. They deliberately chose a section of the plateau slightly higher so Khafre's pyramid would appear just as high as Khufus. When clearly it is not from base to apex

If you take a blank sheet of paper and make two dots then connect them you will have a line. If you then put names on the dots you have woo.

Hang on, are we talking about European witches, or African witches?

You obviously have mistaken the messenger for the message. It's not the nationality of the witches that count but their evilness.

The only possible way to explain why humans, given the same basic materiel's, should build the same type of structures is the occult.

Therefore witches.

Actually, that's the most on topic thing we've had here for ages. Would you like to write it up, or should motor-mouth (me) have a go at it?

If you don't believe he was crazy, consider that most of the statues he commissioned of himself had breasts. Totally.
Maybe he was really a woman? Maybe he had breasts? Maybe he thought breasts were some kind of magic and he wanted some of that? (And he wouldn't be the first man to think that.)

You're both wrong. A witch doesn't have feathers.
A battleship does?

Really obvious when you put it like that

You're going to very well in this thread. Straight to the topic, just like the rest of us.

:D

Hey yeah! Well spotted.

Well Mr Tsig-Smartypants, tell us about these feathered battleships. (beautiful plumage)

Are they aligned with anything? How many coconuts can they carry.

Enquiring minds wants to know.

Good point. Me either.
Huh? It has a square base and sloping sides. When is that not a pyramid?

I just Googled it and it ain't much, is it?
The links in my post were to the lists of Mesoamerican and Egyptian pyramids. If you'd followed them, you would not have had to Google.
At least Teotihuacan looks like they got around to finishing it.
Hmm, the Pyramid of NeferefreWP was never finished, but it's still called a pyramid. The Pyramid of Khendjer now only rises 1 metre above the sand, but it is still a pyramid.

In the case of Cholula, it hasn't been completely excavated and only partially restored, but archaeologists consider it a pyramid.

All that is being done here is excluding data that doesn't fit the a priori position of KotA.

You have ONE S.Am pyramid that is a little like one in Egypt.

If there was any correlation between the Egyptian and Mesoamerican pyramids, why is there so much variation between them?
For instance, the 2nd largest Mesoamerican pyramid, Pyramid of Flowers, (if you wish to exclude Cholula) has an area 28% that of the Pyramid of the Sun.
The 2nd largest Egyptian pyramid is 91% the area of Khufu, what's more, it's a better match for the Pyramid of the Sun, since it has a base area that is within 3% of the S.Am one, whereas the difference between the Sun pyramidand Khufu is 6%.

See how easy this is? Let's try numerology on these next to verify our numbers...

Wow...truly, I've never even heard of this "Cholula" complex...

Although, after looking at it, I am not sure I'd call it a pyramid.

For some reason I can't help but see that as 'chocula' complex every time it's mentioned. Instantly I'm visualizing the brown vampire from the cereal box. Pretty sure chocula is an americanism, for the non-american crowd. Nothing to see here...
