This is the part I can never wrap my head around. His supporters say he's a tough guy, takes it to people. But he always sounds like a whiny ******. It's not just the words, it's the way he sounds when he says it.
 
I'm watching The FIVE on Fox. First thing they're discussing is Trump's appearance at the NABJ. Pirro plays video of the first question asked, but does not include the entire question, eliminating his quotes referring to black people. They don't want their audience to hear what he's previously said or put the moderator's question into context.

Pirro: "Trump was told Harris would be there." He was told she was invited. Not the same. It's more likely he only turned up because he knew she wasn't coming due to a schedule conflict.

When asked how Trump did, Tyrus (George Murdoch, former wrestler) responded, "Phenomenal! He did phenomenal." He also claimed Trump was insulted. That is a lie. He was asked a valid question. Tyrus also said Trump 'answered questions' which is another lie. Trump spent most of his time NOT answering the question asked and resorting to misdirection.

Guttfeld's description of how T responded was hysterical. Talk about spin! Trump "handled it classy". He's also repeating the lie that Harris 'identified early in her career as South Asian" and that Trump only "peeled back the curtain" on looking at her. He also repeated the lie that Harris "isn't technically African-American" because "Her dad is from Jamaica."

These people are unbelievable.

Trump has a problem with her being either, and both.
 
Kadia Goba, one of the mods at the NABJ, said there was audible laughter and gasps from the audience at Trump's remarks. According to Greg Guttfeld on Fox's The Five, there were shouts of support.

ETA: Another false claim by Trump was calling Harris the 'Border Czar', a claim that's been judged "mostly false" by Politifact before. She was never in charge of the border or immigration. He exact job:

The same false claim is being repeated in ads and by Vance:

The refrain intensified once Biden dropped out of the race and endorsed Harris. It was echoed in ads and by Trump campaign surrogates, including Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance, the Republican vice presidential nominee.

"Here’s Biden appointing Kamala Harris to be his border czar to deal with illegal immigration," a narrator says in a video the Republican National Committee posted on its X account, @GOP. "And here are a record number of illegal immigrants — 10 million and counting — flooding over the border after Harris was put in charge of stopping illegal immigration."

Within weeks of Biden’s remarks about Harris’ role, Republicans including Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and Rep. Steve Scalise, R-La., began calling Harris the "border czar" often in tandem with pointing out she had not yet been to the border.

In April 2021, when a reporter asked Harris whether she would visit the border, she said that her role is addressing the factors that make people leave their home countries, not managing the border.

I guess the she can be both is beyond his comprehension.
Obama was both Black and Irish..and made the ceremonail visit to the village in Ireland where his mother's family emigrated from when he visited the Republic.

Most of the angst about dei and gender is manufactured for political reasons as part of the ongoing culture wars. You don't have to become transgender, you don't have to have sex with transgender. Vance wasn't chosen for his ability as a politician but for the belief he would bring in more votes because of who he was.
 
Looks as if the Mideast might be hotting up again, which would make it a bigger campaign issue.

I know. Don't get me wrong. I find it strange. I also think tattoos are strange. I don't like drugs and don't want others to experiment with them around me. I'm very conservative about those things.

But it's also NONE OF MY DAMN BUSINESS. It's their life and they have the right to live it as they choose. That is what freedom is about.

I also think religion is nuts. But I'll fight for your right to worship a kangaroo if that is your kinky persuasion.
