Wow! 100,000 Mail In Ballots in New York City a total MESS. Mayor and Governor have no idea what to do. Big Fraud, Unfixable! Cancel Ballots and go out and VOTE, just like in past decades, when there were no problems!

Have no idea what to do? :dl:

Can you or someone explain this to me?

Were they hiding donor money? Why would they need to hide where they were spending campaign funds?

It sounds like they were keeping donor money for personal use and disguised it as campaign spending.

Thanks, it makes sense now.

Re the Forbes Parscale article, Trump the crook is so damn greedy. He hasn't been caught because so far he's controlled the investigators.
The allegation comes amid reports that the Trump campaign also moved millions in campaign funds to Trump’s private business interests. Forbes’ Dan Alexander and Michela Tindera reported earlier this month that the Trump campaign has pushed nearly $7 million towards Trump’s businesses since the president entered office.

That last paragraph should be the headline.

The ruling was a victory for Secretary of State Matt Dunlap, a Democrat, whose office argued against the changes and has faced two major election lawsuits this year.

Really cynical for Trump to write "go out and VOTE, just like in past decades, when there were no problems", knowing the problems "certain" people had (and still have) to vote in the past decades (or century) in many parts of the US.

Not with the Proud Boys at polling stations in minority neighbourhoods to protect against that kind of millinery-based voter fraud. ;)

With all that is going on in the world, sure the times they are a-changin'.

But thank god they are some truths than remain unchanged.
One on them: Cillizza is still an idiot (don't know what he knows less of: politics or basic math).

For the record, 538's forecast right now gives Trump a 20% probability of winning the election.

I don't dispute. But I will mention, as best I understand their forecast algorithm, it takes into account how far until election day, and the probabilities that things will change. Right now, things are trending poorly for Trump, and his unhinged behavior isnt helping. And that's not apt to stop.

On election day. The model takes the time between now and election day into account to add in uncertainty, if polling stays more or less steady, the forecast will incrementally shift more and more in Biden's favor.

Nate Silver said according to his model, if the election were held today, Biden has more than a 90% chance of winning.

The question we all need to ask is why does Trump have ANY chance of winning?

Because voter repression is a thing, with many features and methods.

....and he represents the views of 40% of Americans and another 5% might vote for the GOP candidate whoever it is.

Enough jiggery-pokery in key states and he could repeat his 2016 EC win/popular vote loss. :(

Right on cue:

Texas Gov. Abbott issues proclamation CLOSING (as of Oct. 2) satellite offices where voters can drop off completed mail-in ballots.
Counties can only have 1 dropoff point, he says.
Travis has 4, including 3 downtown.
Harris has 12.

How on earth can this be legal? Won’t a court fix this as soon as a suit is filed? Are the Republicans just going to appeal and appeal hoping to stay ahead of these legal challenges until Labor Day.
