The Truth about RFK Jr

If you accept a vaccine against a STD, it means you're a slut is a common argument I have heard.
By people who unabashedly support Donald Trump, Elon Musk and Andrew Tate. Oh, and Robert ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ Kennedy Jr. A guy who had so many affairs his wife committed suicide and has, even now, been caught having affairs with journalists.

Men who have extra-marital affairs are studs and are to be lauded.

Women who have sex outside of marriage are sluts and are to be punished.

Of course this creates an issue of who the men are supposed to be schtupping (because schtupping each other is definitely a no-no).

Sorry to hear about your mother.

The HPV vaccine has apparently caused a remarkable drop in cervical cancer rates wherever it has been used extensively. Unfortunately, anti-vaxxers are spreading their poison about it.
Not so much the anti-vaxxers but the bigots who object to any way that could protect women from the consequences of having sex, the parents who use fear as a repellent, etc.

At In the Pipeline Derek Lowe wrote, "Cervical cancer is almost completely preventable through such vaccination programs, and the anti-vaccine activists who have come out against them (such as the dangerous fool nominated to be secretary of HHS) can go to hell." This is sounding like Make America Sick Again.
In respect of the cervical cancer vaccines, the anti-vaxxers allied themselves with the "abstinence-only" religious far-right. There's nothing that say's you're for the good of young girls than exposing them to the risks of devestating cancers.

And said schtupping studs can infect their wives. That's how most married women in the past got syphilis and other STDs.

Then that's still the women's fault for not ensuring that their husbands were fully satiated at home. :xrolleyes

We could go through all the rehearsed gaslighting arguments that MAGAts and anti-vaxxers will make to justify their evil ideas, but at some point it becomes tiresome. Let's just call them out on their BS instead and point out their insane logic and hypocrisy.

Semi-related to this topic (and I don't think it's big enough for its own thread): Louisiana forbids public health workers from promoting COVID, flu and mpox shots

Staffers were also told that it applies to every aspect of the health department's work: Employees could not send out press releases, give interviews, hold vaccine events, give presentations or create social media posts encouraging the public to get the vaccines. They also could not put up signs at the department's clinics that COVID, flu or mpox vaccines were available on site.

The new policy in Louisiana was implemented as some politicians have promoted false information about vaccines and as President-elect Donald Trump seeks to have anti-vaccine activist Robert F. Kennedy Jr lead the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. And some public health experts are concerned that if other states follow Louisiana, the U.S. could face rising levels of disease and further erosion of trust in the nation's public health infrastructure.

My kids and parents may die but at least my taxes and the cost of eggs will be lower!
So Trump is going to cure the bird flu while simultaneously, magically replenishing the laying hens?

MAGA!!!

Maybe these chickens are just not tough enough and not laying eggs because they have a bit of flu. Make American Hens More Manly Again! MAHMMA!

I was going through some old stuff today, and came across a picture.

Meet Mary Sparrow. When my parents were courting, they visited some family in rural Vermont, and were introduced to some elderly sisters down the road. On the mantel was a picture, and when my future mom remarked on it, old "Aunt Ida" remarked that this was her only child, Mary, who had died at age 12 of TB. Only the picture remains, with the penciled notation on the back. Maybe there's a stone somewhere, but at 77 I'm probably the last person in the world who would think to look at it. Meet the future. She is looking straight at you, Bobby.

Themselves?

Themselves?
No, the sluts will do just fine. There's no problem for the followers of Adam and Eve. Real men can't help it. It's all her fault. If you're a redneck you cite the Bible, if you're a pseudo-intellectual you cite Nietzsche or Edward Dahlberg, but it's all the same in the end. It's a jungle down there

I think he wil not last long as HW secratary. He will say stuff that makes Donnie look bad, and out he goes.

RFK is such a bad choice that even a lot of the National Review writers are opposing him.

The Independent reported that in November of 2023 RFK said, “I’m gonna say to NIH scientists, God bless you all,” Mr Kennedy said, NBC News reported. “Thank you for public service. We’re going to give infectious disease a break for about eight years.” Tuberculosis and fungal infections are each responsible for over a million deaths worldwide each year. Viruses such as SARS-CoV2 will not stop mutating.

“'We’re gonna say we’re fixing to file some racketeering lawsuits if you don’t start telling the truth in your journals,' he told the crowd." Why would journals lie? Who else is in on the fix in his mind?

A more parsimonious explanation is worm-induced insanity.

The scientists need to put together a team. Collect all of RFKs ramblings. Then reject it by peer review: Your article contains no varifiable facts. Please revise. We will wait. Four years enough for you?

How disappointing, Mike Griffith has still not backed up his claim that RFK is not an anti-vaxxer by pointing out which vaccines RFK supports.

I’m almost worried that people might think Mike Griffith is mindlessly parroting RFK’s own talking points without having the intellectual honesty to examine the talking point himself or just thinks that there is anyone in the world dumb enough to believe RFK other than gullible morons.

Surely that can’t be it, right?

I suppose it depends on how thinly you slice the baloney. RFK might be a kind of vaccine agnostic. I haven't met a vaccine yet that I support, but I acknowledge that there might someday be one somewhere.

"I'm not saying you get a load of riffraff down the mine. I am not saying that, I am just saying we had a load of riffraff down my mine." (Beyond the Fringe)

Mike Griffith has used the example of RFK and his kids being vaccinated as evidence that he is not against vaccines. So they will be covered by any good vaccines but he simply won’t say what they are and will propagandize against all of them. This is even more repugnant. Benefit from vaccines and scare other people off them. Mike Griffith has to tell us which ones we should take and RFK has to do the same. Anything less than clarity on this point is evil doublespeak.

Yes, and I probably misspoke earlier and realize I should have emphasized that I will cut Mike G. some slack, that he might dodge by saying RFK is a theoretical agnostic. My judgment of that opinion is highly unfavorable. But if I were fully to express my opinion of RFK himself the fount of forum fonts would be at risk of running out of little diamonds, so I will stick to the generic "◊◊◊◊ him" and others can provide the ornamentation.

It's like saying "I'm not racist, I have black friends...." RFK is on record casting misinformation and speaking out against vaccines. Maybe he doesn't actually believe what he is saying publicly, but that would only mean he's even more disgusting than if he believed vaccines were bad.

It is unclear to me whether he and his children only received vaccinations necessary for school or employment or not.

He probably got vaccinated for polio when he was young anyway, so not his decision. Maybe he also got his kids vaccinated before he became an anti-vaxx crank about twenty years ago or so.

If RFK is at all like the families I know, including mine, the children's doctor appointments, vaccines, etc. were handled by the mothers. Fathers rarely got involved and let Mom handle that kind of thing. Maybe ex-wives Emily and Mary had the children vaccinated.

RFK Jr was probably too busy banging his mistresses while his kids were getting vaccinated. He probably didn't care at all because he doesn't actually believe the vaccines are bad for his kids. In fact, he almost certainly thinks they are good for his kids. But anti-vaxx for him is all about getting money from gullible people he propagandizes for and lawsuits. I really hope someone sues the pants off him one day.

So basically murder for hire wearing a white shirt.
