Caution: anecdote ahead. Once, I went to a bar and the person working the door said (approximately), "Hey, [BenjaminTR], I was in your class last year." I did not remember him. After a while I was able to convince myself I vaguely remembered him barely. Just one year later I did not even recognize the guy, and I only taught one class per semester the year in question. Not everyone stays in your memory for all time. Sad but true. (Though obviously the lack of recognition event stuck with me.)

Agreed, especially since Robert Prey jumped into the middle of the Birther thread and assertively demanded that he did not need to read any of the prior arguments and rebuttals -- which he then proceeded to dredge up again as if they were novel claims. And conversely in the JFK thread he argues that he doesn't need to listen to people who are "newcomers to the thread."

My HS* class was very tight and somewhat small and still only 10-20% ever show up at reunions. But college reunions, I didn't even know such things existed. There is no way more than 5% of the class shows up.

*Completely true anecdote: Not having gone to my last reunion I was looking at a photo with a friend who did go and he pointed out a guy who he didn't know and who "nobody" else at the reunion remembered. I knew him. I even knew what sports he played and what teams he was on. But the few folks my friend felt comfortable asking didn't, so in his mind "nobody knew him". I'm sure if he later became president we all would remember him.

The "didn't go to Columbia" argument was debunked more than 4 years ago. Even if true, there is no connection between that and the recent surveillance scandal. You're just trying to throw random mud.

Is he the real-life “Manchurian Candidate?” What explains Obama having just enough skeletal proof that he was there (one photo, one roommate, one professor, one friend)…but never seen in a class, never on anyone’s radar screen, almost invisible. The only verifiable fact in your entire post is that Root was in the class 1983 in Poli Sci, same as Obama. The rest is just argument from silence.

And like I provided before, Reagan probably wasn't remembered by half the people he went to college with before he ultimately became president. Does that make him a Manchurian candidate?

Are you going to address this question or admit that there's only one skin deep reason why you fixate on Obama?
