The average number of hands is less than two, same for the average number of legs.
ETA and there's a chance the earth will start spinning the other way, and someone clever might be able to model how it could happen. Not been done for homeopathy.

a) 4.0001"
b) 9983776"
This is the sort of situation we are faced with. We can never be certain that the object is exactly 4" long, because of the margin of error in the measurement. But we know that it isn't 9983776" long.
In the same way, while science is not "absolute and final" about the way things are, we know approximately how things are so we can rule some things out. So we know that elephants don't fly, 2+2 is not 9983776, electrons cannot be partially excited, and homoeopathy is nonsense.
