I watched those youtube clips, and really, it's hard to be on either side. It's like watching a jerk fighting with an ******* - you don't really care who wins, you just enjoy the spectacle.

well the "foo fighters" are the white balls between the planes, its a WW2 era slang for a UFO, originally just meant the ball-lightning types but i guess now it can mean any battlefield UFO reported during the WW2

And also most of the crew do seem sincere, just under-prepared and lead by a self-absorbed sociopathic jerkwad. They have such a volunteer turnover because most of the people who realize this just leave so over the years it seems like only the crazy people who think that Watson is brilliant get left behind and are just as inept.

I mean srsly, when Watson faked getting shot, I was blatantly on the said of the Japanese whalers on that whole controversy. Watson is a scumbag if he can make me sympathize with the whaling industry.

I think it’s more His way of pointing out the sick state of the American male psyche. The guys on the internet claim it’s just the womenz, but the menz here are just as emotionally twisted and internally conflicted. It’s pervasive. I’m thinking it’s some sort of hormonal imbalance, possibly caused by the food. And it confirms that I just don’t belong here and should return to Germany, where the men haven’t had their brains addled by soy formula.
At any rate, it’s taught me that what the Guyz on the Interwebs say isn’t at all representative of the general male population here, and that the problems don’t all lie with the women. The men here are simply strange.
Try being a homemaker in America and you will quickly find out what the men here are really like, and how little admiration they have for the feminine. They’ve got the women they deserve, so they should shut up and stop whining about it.

Once I get past deep despair and murmer "Oh, the humanity!" a few times, a little lets-try-psychosis-on-for-size humor gets me through the day.

Otherwise, I'd cry a lot.
