More Truther Legaltainment!

I've just been listening to a recent interview with Manny Badillo by Hereward Fenton.

http://www.truthnews.com.au/web/radio/story/interview_with_9_11_truth_activist_manny_badillo

Interesting to hear in his own words his journey from the tragedy of 9/11 to the tragedy of his involvement in the 9/11 truth movement. (The Jersey Girls and Bob McInvaine were a big influence, along with Michael Ruppert's book.)

No mention of what's happened to the $80K raised by Remember Building 7 other than the ad's "on the way".

My irony meter exploded when they discussed their recent foray onto the Australian Skeptics Facebook page. :D

And no mention of his house arrest and ongoing court case, which is fair enough, considering the topic was 9/11.

It's chilling with all the money Dylan Avery promised to donate to the victims families.

Are you in correspondence with him? I would like to speak to him if possible on a less public forum than this one having realized no verdict has yet been reached and jumping the gun as I did (as others did too). Still, the premise of this thread + the motivation behind it, and many of the posts by involved members here, remains bizarre to me.

For legal reasons this thread should technically be closed. We are singling out a single person (heaven knows why*) awaiting charges that are in the hands of a jury that could be heavily influenced by reading peoples opinions published for anyone to see on a public forum here. The magnitude of resentment held against people wanting to (re)investigate 9/11 further ["truthers"] on this forum is in no way representative of the general populations attitude, and could influence things it should not.

Why are we singling this guy out again? I'm still confused why we have an entire thread dedicated to a child molestation case in a 9/11 conspiracy theory sub forum.

* Do you know why? If so, reply below.

And how do you figure that your perception of something is our problem?

Better shut down newspapers for running stories about people awaiting trial. Hell, simply making it known that an individual is being accused of a crime could be seen as undue influence on potential jurors.

That would be worked out in jury selection, if he even has the benefit of a jury.

Why are we singling this guy out again? I'm still confused [...]

If you've read the thread and you're still confused, there really isn't anything anyone here can do for you.

[...] why we have an entire thread dedicated to a child molestation case in a 9/11 conspiracy theory sub forum.

Because it concerns a fairly prominent member of the 9/11 Truth Movement. There is a connection. That you can't see it is no one's fault but your own.

Oh, noes, an entire thread (singular) about a court case?!!!!

Ever heard of Amanda Knox?

I'm sure if the mods think this belongs elsewhere, they will move it. No skin off my nose.

If you want to talk to Manny, I know he's on Facebook, under his name, Manny Badillo (if I remember correctly).

This is an educational foundation, try to educate me. The best way to do this (I think) is to answer directly any questions asked.

There's a connection indeed. Just as much as there is likely a connection between you and him now you have commented on his personal affairs. If he happens to collect warhammer models there is also a connection between him and the warhammer community. He probably likes potatoes too, so I expect there is a connection between him and the potato appreciation society

OMG everything's connected!

This is a conspiratorial mindset I am far more used to noticing in the opposing side of this particular debate. Which is why this thread continues to confuse me.

I noticed that the potato appreciation society has recently "migrated". Maybe this migration is connected too?

Here ya go.

No, no jury has been selected, and there are no legal orders barring spectators from talking about a case.

Now you're just posting nonsense. Are you related to Badillo or have some personal ties to him?

that could be heavily influenced by reading peoples opinions published for anyone to see on a public forum here.

Sorry, not my problem. See State of Florida V Casey Anthony.

The magnitude of resentment held against people wanting to (re)investigate 9/11 further ["truthers"] on this forum is in no way representative of the general populations attitude, and could influence things it should not.
BTW, this is called a "strawman argument" and you use them quite often.

I have no problem with people wanting to re-investigate. I've encouraged it. Just, they need to pay for it themselves, and fund it themselves, and don't ask for powers that are not legal.

WRT influencing the trial, perhaps you're not understanding how a jury is picked. Research it, then come back.

Especially see the case of State of Florida V Casey Anthony, of State of California V Orenthal J. Simpson, or any other high profile cases.

Because he was, at one time, a major player in the "9/11 Truth" game.

And no, he is charged with a VERY serious crime, that could send him to prison for many years. Most here are curious as to how the case will play out.

If you don't like it, the "Ignore" feature is over there.

Lol I've never seen a judge order the whole world to stop talking so his potential jurors won't be tainted lol.

Because he's a loud voice in the 9/11 Twoof Movement, skipper. If an athlete was charged with something like this, don't you think it would be in the 'Sports' subforum? It's the same case here.

You have to be willing to learn first, so far there's been no evidence of that.

I would, but education requires two willing and capable participants. I'm sure you're capable, but I'm not at all convinced that you are willing to be educated or willing to admit that you have been.

Once again, I'll put it into a different context so it's a bit easier to understand.

I, personally, do not like Wal-Mart. I prefer to shop locally to help my local economy grow, and encourage small business.

So, since I don't like Wal-Mart...I just don't go. I don't take time out of my day to drive over to Wal-Mart, grab a manager, and a few employees to explain to them why I don't like Wal-Mart. I just...don't...go...to...Wal-Mart.

I hope you're smart enough to catch that, and it goes for anyone else that is taking the time to complain about something so dumb.

The gist of it. Manny didn't have to be a voice of the truth movement. He made the choice to be a figure of the truth movement, and have the attention on him. He then made the decisions that landed him in this situation. Guilty, or not guilty, it's something that he is dealing with. Since this sub-forum is relative to 9/11 truth, which blankets the movement and participating members, then it is perfectly within the standards to be here.

IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, THEN MAKE IT YOUR WAL-MART

Neat analogy there plague311
