My theory about Loose Change was that it was initially supposed to be fiction, but the makers couldn't think of a coherent plot. Since documentaries that never make a lucid argument were all the rage back then, it was a smart move to follow that strategy instead.

I wanted to watch that Venice Flying Circus thing, not because I think it will be at all relevant, but because I like to know how far the truth movement has fallen. Yet I can't make it past the first 30 seconds with the way this guy is throwing his voice...

mostly because i am embarassed to have been a believer of the 9/11 CT religion and it would be mostly hypocritical.

I think it's really interesting how the CD hypothesis evolved.

First, it was claimed that it had to be CD because it looked superficially like CD.

After it was learned that it was really nothing like CD, the hypothesis changed to "they made it look like it wasn't CD so no one (except, of course, Scooby and the gang) would suspect the truth".

Of course, now the original reason for believing in CD was gone, but the belief itself went merrily on...

thanks for posting the audio clip. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.

Some interesting "facts" in there indeed. Some of my favorites are:

- OBL appeared "thin" and had a "frosted appearance" in one of the videos, so he couldn't have lived much longer
- the radio intercepts stopped around Dec. 13th or 14th, 2001, which is "one of the strongest pieces of evidence that OBL died around that time" (source for the end of the intercepts is none other than "intelligence sources," i.e. the CIA)

I like the word "doo-doo head". I think I'll use it more often to describe Truthers. Thanks.

From the bits of video I've seen so far, they each deal with claims that I've heard already, some contradicting the suggestions that were intended to be conveyed. The government ignoring Al Quaeda, while Al Quaeda itself isn't responsible for the attacks, and the like. The press for truth video covers this quite a bit, but beyond the obvious MSM/govt dance it shows *** covering and incompetence more than it does inside job. I believe the third one abuses the V for Vendetta movie lines to carry across the idea that the government is always following you... Really not much I haven't seen....

Well, I'm back from some business travel. In the meantime it appears that not only were the Truthers unable to come up with an answer, they were usually unable to even follow the rules of the Forum.

I didn't request those Moderator actions. I wasn't even in town and didn't even log in to the JREF.

Is that it? Have we seen your best? Because if so, I'm having trouble coming up with any group in history that failed harder.

Incidentally, some apparently raised the excuse that "since you have Truthers on Ignore, why should they bother answering?" (Also apparently, some made this claim simultaneously with claiming I didn't actually have them on Ignore, so go figure...) To dispense with this potential excuse, I will make the following policy change: In this thread, and only in this thread, I will exercise the "Show Hidden Post" option available to me, and read all Truther submissions. There have been a rather paltry amount of them, so I doubt this will be much of a problem.

However, as I expect to be the case, if your posts are as unresponsive and uninteresting as the Truther comments have been so far, don't expect an answer from me. You won't get one. I set the terms for this conversation in very clear terms, with a very low bar, and you lot aren't even trying.

You struggle to come up with excuses as to why anyone would ever abandon 9/11 Trutherism. You feel threatened when others abandon Trutherism; why? That's the only reason you would feel the need to hallucinate excuses on their behalf.

Assuming that you're trying to convey the idea that 9/11 Truth is a learning process, most children don't take 10 years to learn how to talk. Even then, I don't know how that relates to your bizarre idea that "nobody abandons 9/11 Truth". It seems like non sequitur.

My point was that once you learn how to talk you don't go back to pointing and grunting.
