Continuation - Discussion of the Amanda Knox case

Instead of lying, just admit you are wrong. The mistakes Steve Moore made are not semantics. They are mistakes, plain and simple. You can call them what you want, but it doesn't make it true. Stop trying to backpedal and just admit what you said was a stupid statement, or at least a silly way of stating it.

Moore said that the court concluded Amanda made all three wounds to Meredith, that is wrong. He said none of the prints or stains contained Meredith's dna, and that is factually wrong. He said that Amanda recanted her accusation against Patrick as soon as she got some food, that is untrue unless Amanda went without eating for two weeks. If you think that an FBI agent with 25 years experience, who has decided to put himself front and center in this case, should not know these kinds of things, that is fine, we can agree to disagree. But you cannot sit here and call it what it is not: a smear or "semantics".

By the way, in regards to this:

What do you think Mary calling Mignini a "fat-faced wino pervert" says about her? Or let me guess, in your alternate universe where you get to decide what words mean what, that isn't considered a "smear". Got it!

If you prefer, we could call Mignini a 'fat-faced convicted criminal'. That would be factually accurate.

Simply because for one week there was a difference in the dime difference, as Europe changes on the last Sunday in October, and in 2007 the US started changing on the first Sunday in November.

The problem with that excuse is that the times she claimed in court were more than one hour off.

I'm pretty sure neither of you are Andie Macdowell

platonov,

I cannot be certain that Comodi lied, but she has no excuse for making that mistake, if that is what it was. She also got the time difference between Seattle and Perugia wrong.

The problem with that excuse is that the times she claimed in court were more than one hour off.

The pretty woman did it according to Magnini.

Ahh, another post by Justinian where he mentions Amanda's looks, color me surprised!

By the way, last time I checked, Raffaele wasn't a "pretty young woman", unless you are also using the same alternate dictionary of definitions that Kaosium uses. Where can I buy one, Borders?

And what do I have to do to get on the prestigious list of honors mentioned in Withnail's signature? Is there a fee? I'm willing to pay, just let me know where to sign up!

I read the following on another blog: "Simply using the doctors interview who gave Amanda her physical on the night of questioning will reveal why the police do not want to release the video. As he sat next door waiting for Amanda he testifies it sounded like GITMO in the interview room."

Is there a doctor? And if there is a doctor and if he did an interview does anyone know where to find it? Or, did he testify in court? Do they usually call in doctors for interviews with witnesses?

As long as you don't get bothered by someone calling Amanda a "herpes-infested convicted criminal", Im totally cool with it! After all, mine is factually accurate too, she is a convicted criminal at this point!

You don't want to believe everything you read.

I read that AK was waterboarded for 43 hrs & Italian docs use phrases like Gitmo. Who could posibly believe stuff like that :covereyes

And be especially skeptical of short dudes in bars claiming to be leprechauns.

And how many comments are on this forum explaining how Rudy and Patrick are Black?

If you wish. After all, this is just a game.

Mignini questions Amanda about details in the Daily Mail article and also mentions a report by Officer Bender (I do not know if the report was included in the article or if Mignini had the actual report).

At any rate, the impression I get from Massei during Amanda's testimony about this incident is that it was trivial and it was not brought up in the motivations against Amanda's previous character.

Thank you, Christiania. I just wanted to know if it was actually true. It was something I read that I was dubious of, as it seemed rather unlikely to me and I wanted to know if the person who posted it was in error or just funning me.

No, treehorn's posts are no fun at all. ;)

The information was trivial, yes, but that never stopped a zillion bloggers from dwelling on it.

By the way, in city of Perugia, at least two other cases of murder with a staged burglary occurred during the last four years.[/QUOTE]

Hi Machiavelli in Italy!
After Rudy Guede was arrested,
do you know if there have been any more break-ins and/or burglaries on the 2nd floor of any building or apartments in Perugia, Italy?

Thanks,

Solange305,

From page 151 in Murder in Italy, “Alternatively, Amanda would say she was not “treated like a person” until after she’d signed on the dotted line [at 5:45]. No food, no water, no bathroom breaks or naps.” So what Steve Moore said is disputed, but it is not agreed upon to be untrue.

The more general problem with your comment is that you don’t seem to be applying the same standard to ILE. We have documented their misstatements here for 11 months. Some are doubtless honest errors, but some look like lies (not disclosing that the TMB test was negative, for instance). We have also documented examples of their mistakes; the hard drives being the most recent example to resurface in this thread. Why does their credibility not suffer among the pro-guilt commenters here and elsewhere?

It's even starting to sound like Ice Age around here!
The guilters seem to enjoy being called furry little cartoon animals.

That's an interesting association. I bet the total number of burglaries has gone down too. I wonder if there aren't other innocent people in jail in Perugia?
