In asking for motions, you are necessarily asking for documents in Italian. Would you trust a translation? By the tone of your comments, I have to wonder. You seem to be concerned that Krane and others went through the defense attorneys with their request, making their claims of being refused heresay. Why would the defense mislead or lie to its own consultants?

On the subject of Sara Gino's comments, I would ask you how it is possible for her to have the electronic data files and not have the dates.

They have withheld certain data, but that is really a secondary point. It's possible to say, on the basis of what we do know, that the most significant DNA evidence against Amanda and Raffaele is unreliable. I have posted guidelines for handling DNA evidence, put out by the US Dept. of Justice:

- Wear gloves. Change them often.
- Use disposable instruments or clean them thoroughly before and after handling each sample.
- Avoid touching the area where you believe DNA may exist.
- Avoid talking, sneezing, and coughing over evidence.
- Avoid touching your face, nose, and mouth when collecting and packaging evidence.
- Air-dry evidence thoroughly before packaging.
- Put evidence into new paper bags or envelopes, not into plastic bags. Do not use staples.

These guidelines have been developed because if they are not followed, the results of the DNA tests may not be reliable. We have all seen the video that shows two people touching the exact spot where Raffaele's DNA was supposedly found. And we know this result was announced to the public the day after Raffaele's father went on national TV with proof that Raffaele's shoes did not match the shoe prints at the crime scene. They sifted through the rubble they had created at the crime scene and came up with exactly the evidence they needed most. Isn't that a lucky coincidence???

He was in charge of security at Pepperdine University, which has a campus in Italy. They were afraid Steve's activity might lead to problems for their students and personnel, so they gave him an ultimatum: give up your support of Amanda and Raffaele, or resign. He refused to do either so they fired him.

Why would Steve's support of Amanda and Raffaele lead to problems for Pepperdine students/faculty in Italy? Is their campus in Perugia?

I'm rather interested in the answer to that as well, that statement by the Pepperdine official was rather bizarre. I can think of a number of reasons they might have made it, and most of them are weird.

Does anyone know what is going on at PMF? I have NEVER posted there but have just visited to read a section of the Motivations report as I wanted to check something before posting about it here. However, I am coming up against a message which simply states:

''You do not have the required permissions to read topics within this forum.''

Why is this? Surely they have not banned 'guests' from reading the threads as well now? Or have they simply exceeded their bandwidth or something?

That is strange. Why would you need to register to even look at a topic or a document? That would tend to discourage people from visiting, in my opinion. Maybe Michiavelli can answer that question when he returns.

Exactly.

I am hoping that it is just a 'temporary blip' and there is something wrong with the coding or something (as LJ may have been inferring).

He (Draca) was asked for some info. and background for Steve Moore by Alt+F4. That was why he then provided those links. I am sure you would have seen the post from Alt+F4 as Draca quoted it when answering in the post you decided to quote.

If you say that you are only referring to Mr. Moore's comments, don't you think that he is merely establishing some credibility so that readers know that it is not merely anyone picked up off the street (or park bench for that matter) speaking/writing. Moore probably felt it relevant to mention the points he did (such as 25 years etc) and I would have thought that most neutral observers can see that quite clearly.

Their Italian campus is in Florence. They can't come out and say, "we're afraid the authorities might retaliate for Steve Moore's activities by causing problems for our students and personnel." But that's the underlying concern.
