Germany had the atomic bomb first

If they had one, Hitler would have had them use it, in an impetuous, grandiose operation. This is what I think Hitler's target preference would have been:
1st choice. The UK, most likely London. That defiant little nation had been a thorn in the Third Reich's side for years.
2nd choice. The US, most likely DC.
3rd choice. The USSR, possibly Stalingrad.

4th choice. Realised it had been developed too late to do anything more than make Germany's defeat even more catastrophic.
Sold technology to Allies in return for safe passage.

Why would the Allies need to buy anything off of Hitler? America had already started planning for the Trinity test a year before Hitler died. The Manhattan Project was basically done.

Secondly, why honor a bargain with Hitler? Just say, "Sure we'll take the bomb." arrest him 15 minutes later and parade him in front of the cameras. I doubt there would be public outcry for betraying him.

As Oppenheimer said in this context (a little less well-known than his "destroyer of worlds" rib-tickler):
"As West and East / In all flatt Maps—and I am one—are one, / So death doth touch the Resurrection."

Who knows? Perhaps it wasn't honoured? All I know are the attempts to explain the lack of a body for Hitler, Goebbels and his five children are now beginning to verge on farce.

I believe it was Marshal Zhukov who initially accused to Brits of allowing Adolf to escape. And it was an officer in MI5 and MI6 who managed to conclusively prove, without any reference to any documents whatsoever, that Marshal Zhukov's accusations were nothing but some diabolical plot by Stalin.

Cable TV channel airs special that oversells fringe psuedohistorical theory. Film at eleven.

Is this the old 'the Russians are lying' routine? Well, to save you the trouble, here's some Russian dressed up like Hans Voss posing beside some innocent Germans murdered by the Red Army and claimed to be the Goebbels family.

1st choice: yes, probably London
2nd choice: unlikely to be US - out of range! Either a major Soviet city such as Moscow or Leningrad (Stalingrad was already in ruins), or a major Allied supply port such as Antwerp
3rd choice: Paris, out of spite, or a major German city out of spite and the will to destroy the people who failed him

Yeah right. Hitler never cared about making his defeat more catastrophic. As someone else said. Just thought it bore repeating.

I've been to Disneyland. Seriously, they put on a fireworks show at closing time, and the light is bright enough to light up the entire sky from Main Street! I haven't heard any complaints about radiation poisoning ... six-foot tall mice, but no radiation poisoning ... ;)

How do you think that mouse got to be six-feet tall? Oh, come on. Everybody knows that radiation causes small animals to grow into huge beasts. There is your proof! Disneyland is 'in on it'. :D

Actually it was the old Trevor-Roper and which ever agency he worked for (either MI5 or MI6) was lying routine and then the KGB chimed and saying "me too, me too" subroutine

I was saying Marshal Zhukov was saying the truth. Do try to keep up.

Why? A load is a load is a load. That's why there are so many restrooms and outhouses in the world.:):)

Any reference 'to any documents whatsoever' for the Zhukov account, little grey rabbi?
Do you believe that Yelena Rzhevskaya was 'an officer in MI5 and MI6?'

I pride myself of being able to extract esoteric meaning from the most banal of statements, but this one has me stumped.

Have another go.

The things being said from that HC silliness are basically crap, usupported silly crap. Ergo, "try to keep up" is pointless as there is nothing real to keep up with, ergo it is all a load of crap. I note I have been preceded by another making that point/explanation.:)

What does this have to do with my question?

You still there, LGR?

Do you understand what the Manhattan Project involved and why the US didn't need Germany's help in 1945?

The Hiroshima bomb (Little Boy) was relatively easy to build. The hard part was getting and purifying the requisite Uranium. By 1945, the US had that part figured out.

(Fat Man was an engineering nightmare but that's another story.)

Even if Schikelgruber had the bomb, it would be a one-off: it's not like the Reich was exactly swimming in the necessary materials at the time. In addition, presuming a bomb the size of the American ones, the Luftwaffe probably couldn't have delivered anyway.

Also, **** Hitler.
